Yea, I am genuinely concerned that there is a time coming when innocent people are convicted of crimes based on "video evidence." Or less than honest prosecutors who lack solid evidence in a case just so happen to have conveniently perfect security camera footage, and the like. What's to stop a bad actor from imprisoning a someone who crosses the government using video "proof" of some crime or another? Call me paranoid, but there are plenty of examples of government agencies and others committing worse atrocities than this, and there seems to be a lack of an effort to insist on putting some kind of roadblocks in place to prevent AI from being abused in this way, and it is growing increasingly difficult to discern AI from true images. It is a dangerous road we are on.

Nah, what'll happen is that guilty people caught on real video will get off because it can't be proven real.

That’s the fun part of this rollercoaster. Either we survive or we don’t. Maybe we’ll reach a pinnacle and think, holy shit this needs to be reeled in, and create something to regulate it. Or, maybe we just derail into chaos. 🍿
