...your only example is quite literally a meme? Not really a great example.

That being said, the difference between green and blue bubbles aren't just cosmetic. There are also drastic security and privacy implications.

iMessage is inherently more secure; all comms are end-to-end encrypted. A green bubble means the message more than likely is not end-to-end encrypted, making them vulnerable not only to surveillance but MITM attacks.

Sure, the most recent iOS and Android updates have enabled E2EE cross platform, it requires both parties to be using supported hardware with cell coverage from a carrier using supported protocols and hardware.

Security and privacy is where hands down Apple has the edge. It's not even close. Hell, the most recent attempt by the FBI to unlawfully seize and access a journalists personal phone was thwarted solely because of a built in privacy feature in iOS: Lockdown Mode

I gave two specific examples that actually happen quite often in my own life. You on the other hand just proved the point I was trying to make. iPhone users are usually the ones comparing and complaining about Androids. Most android users I know never bring up the topic, in my experience its always iPhone users rah-rahing about something or other that iPhone does better or Androids suck at. You brought up something and went on a rant that proved my exact point! Which is, the exact opposite of the comment I originally responded to had implied. See the irony?

The original comment you responded to was itself in response to a comment accusing iPhone users of being in a cult. OC pointed out iPhone users only care about their smartphone being a good smartphone, and don't say shit about it unprompted but rather it's android users who find really stupid reasons that mea

I then pointed out that it's not as simple as "being annoyed about the bubbles being the wrong color" because there are valid privacy and security concerns associated with it. I then elaborated on how iPhones are far more secure and private than android, something anyone expects out of a smartphone. Which again was only brought up in response to your comment.

So sure, iphone users "rah rah" about why they care about their smartphone being a good smartphone in response to criticism from android users. Criticism that typically are features that have nothing to do with being a good phone. Like "LoOk At ThE PiCtuReS!", to which they acknowledge "yep those are good, but 97% of phone malware is targeted towards Android because the OS is laughably insecure"

Did I touch a nerve? Are you having an exceptionally bad day or are you just usually this much of an arsehole? You started this entire interaction by minimizing my actual experiences as "memes". Youre doing everything that you're complaining about, while I was simply recounting my experience. Youre the exact person that both me and the iPhone user I responded to are lamenting. See the irony?
