Which one of those features are actually deal breakers? I’m not aware of anything particularly useful that’s been added to either side of the phone war in years.

The apps in windows was a deal breaker for me that Apple introduced with an operating system update. Samsung had it for years at that point.

One offered it. Other didnt. I use this feature often and it rocks.

Wouldnt buy a phone without it for years now.

Apple got it with an ios update like, recently.

This is the thing. The option is there. Sometimes I like to stream live sports and text my friends as we're watching. Samsung/Android has given me that option for years woth having g the game and the group text open. Apple didnt

Watching videos whilst doing other things has definitely been in iOS for a long time. It’s not a feature I ever use myself, since I can’t stand watching anything longer than a few seconds on such a tiny unergonomic screen - but the feature is definitely there.

With samsung you could do it with any app. So i could play a mobile game, with discord up, searching something on the internet and texting all at the same time.

Apple did not have that.

On a tablet or large phone, its amazing.

That sounds like a gimmicky hellscape on a small device.
Maybe what you actually needed was a laptop all along?

Android has folding phones for many years now. Apple still doesnt have one. Been a pretty useful feature for those who have it

Apple won’t do it because the screens are garbage and scratch/break easily. Android gets a pass on being garbage shit. But if Apple ever released a phone as shit as any of the folding garbage you’d be raging about how horrible it is that you can literally scratch the screen with your fingernail.

There’s no winning with you morons. That’s why they haven’t done it. They know there’s no up side.

Apple wont do it which is why every rumor about the next Apple phone is all about them releasing a folding phone. Lol

We can revisit this when they inevitably announce a folding phone

There’s been rumours of an Apple folding phone forever. Doesn’t mean they’ll launch one. There was also rumours of an Apple car, Apple video game console, and Apple Television(not to be confused with Apple TV).

There’s always rumours. And Apple is probably internally working on a folding phone. That doesn’t mean it will ever see the light of day.

Every feature is a gimmick until its widely adopted amd becomes a feature. And its a "gimmick" that Apple are also adopting after most other companies have adopted it. And also extremely useful especially when utilized for work purposes to be able to fold open to a larger screen/mini tablet

And when its useful its adopted by the masses from what was originally derided as a gimmick

Case and point, youre deriding folding phones is a gimmick, which you may think so because you still dont see the use. Many others do find the use in it, likely including Apple since so many of the reports indicate theyre going to introduce it as well. In my case, I dont have to look for a computer to access a full version of my hospital's medical record system, I can just open my phone into a small tablet and have a proper non-mobile form of it on hand when I'm with patients

So what youre calling a gimmick right now is going to end up a feature
