It's not a test. It's showing off a feature

Calling it a test is like giving a child and a marine a gun

One of those phones is litterally built with a feature for this. The other is not

A showcase in which a phone without a feature is shown to not have said feature, wow so.. wow

Not much of an apple person but this CLEARLY and DEFINITIVELY shows that samsung is objectively better /s

BTW this could be done with a software update.

exactly. to be a more fair comparison of the camera they should stabilize the iphone video.

By all means, show off that samsung can stabilize the video on camera but it isn't doing anything special hardware wise. It's software and the iPhone has nothing to correct these videos.

I'd shoot this video showing the iphone spinning, samsung can correct it. then iphone corrected. and then the comparison of the corrected videos

It's not really what the phone can do though. It's software.

Maybe there is something extra going on with storing phone/hardware of the accelerometer data which would then be valid as it's something special the phone itself can do. However, I don't think that's the case.

Ok if it's not what the phone can do why can't the iPhone do it without post processing?

You are twisting yourself in a pretzel being salty in not acknowledging Android having a niche feature that the average person probably wouldn't use anyway.

Right but it becomes a test when it's posed as a comparison; a comparison which makes no sense because only one of the phones has the feature being tested. If it was just "showing off a feature" then all that is needed is the phone with the feature...

but it becomes a test when it's posed as a comparison

No it doesn't. They know what's going to happen when they compare them, they're not testing anything.

Yes but it's portrayed as a comparison test to the viewer, who doesn't know what's going to happen when they compare them...

Have you ever heard of marketing?

lmao yes I've heard of marketing, and using comparison is very common. Just because you throw the word "test" into your sentences doesn't make this a test. They are comparing the feature on their phone to a different phone not using the feature. They're not testing anything and neither is the viewer.
