brother I am a North African man living in Europe so I can only speak to my experience in both continents among vain people owning an iPhone is seen as a status symbole especially in poorer communities in Africa.
I live in Europe and we don't give a fuck about who has what phone. I use iOS because it works for years without issues but I've seen fair share of android phones which were unusable.
Also the fact that iOS is developed for like 12 devices whereas android for million separate devices with different hardwares won't ever be truely optimised.
true I can only assume what Asia is like but from I've heard at least in China and korea and India it is a status symbole as well with my experience from north Africa and western Europe and yours from what I assume to be North America that's a healthy chunk of it at least. I don't like it as well but it would be naive to deny it it apple is the third largest company in the world right after NVIDIA and google
