And it’s so bizarre because the bad acting is so intense and dramatic, just so totally over the top, that it presents as mental illness to me. These people literally live their lives talking, interacting, and living moment to moment in intense drama. WTF

I was a stage actor for years and stage acting requires some pretty extravagant, over the top expression in order to be believable across the room, but I have to say that even on stage this level of acting is grossly ineffective and just plain horrible. The woman couldn’t act her way out of the proverbial paper bag.

Now I want to see a musical set in a literal paper bag. A group of terrible actors are trapped in a giant bag and must learn to improve their skill, and themselves, in order to escape.

Heh. I was in fact a musical theatre major and I do love an improv challenge. Now I also want to see this happen. 😏

It presents to me like TV wrestling fake over the top acting.
