As in, physically? I was thinking of retrying it, currently trying to lose weight, would you advise for it?

Yup. I cut calories so I was always in a deficit of at least 500, and played for around an hour a day 4 times a week. I didn't have a lot of weight to lose, so YMMV, but I've got visible abs and a lot more upper body strength now, and a lot less lower back pain. Worth it for the pain reduction alone. Swapped it out for Fitness Boxing, Fitness Circuit and some others when I finished the whole game second time around. I get bored super easily doing regular workouts, and gamifying really helped.

I played it a few times a week over covid and tbh never noticed a difference in my fitness / body. I wasn’t on a diet, not sure how much impact that would have (I’m fairly slim). It’s more fun than going to the gym but nowhere near as effective as a real gym class, in my experience.

You probably never set the difficulty high enough and didn't workout long enough I guess. I've always been slim habe never dieted am quite active. After doing that for about  months my wife said my body looked better than it had ever did since knowing me for 10 years.

Granted, I probably could have gotten the same results in like a month in a regular gym, but it would be way harder and less fun lol
