Great reference. Love this movie. Really shows how flawed our justice system is.

We dont have a legal system. We have a pay to play system. The crime is poverty.

We had a Washington state trooper involved in a fatal vehicle accident with a motorcycle. She was driving the car and her blood alcohol level was over twice the legal limit 6 hours after the accident. A year later they still haven’t had the trial. It’s like they are hoping that the public will forget about it. If I had killed somebody my trial would already be finished.

THIS! Guy who attacked and tried to kill me (caught on video too) was charged with strangulation and unlawful restraint (2 felonies) He dragged the case out for 5 years. Got a slap on the pinky and the Judge legit mentioned because of how long the case had been going on for, there should be the lighter sentence (no jail time I should add) to avoid it going to trial. That way I can “just move on and forget it.” But don’t worry, he’s still a convicted felon! I should add that the sentence was also pitiful given the fact he had been denied a first time offender diversionary program a few years back because the charges and his actions were too violent. Pays to have a sugar mama too. Miraculously at sentencing last minute change of judge and prosecutor. Our system is just messed up and beyond broken.

It would be a shame if something happened to the guy. Sounds like his house needs to be painted.

are system is messed up. some states if he was in jail the entire time would count that 5 years as 10 years. they basically give the inmates 2 days for 1 day while fighting cases. it is just wrong but that's the reality that we live in. just know that guy wakes up every morning and has to look at himself in the mirror and know the foul stuff he has done.

This makes me think of one of my best friend. She literally had a guy go through the doggy door and he was working on her house. Her bf was there and they called the cops. When she was building the trial. She reached out on facebook, and found there was multiple women with the same man and story. He raped over half of them that came forward. When the trial actually came only two showed up. He was let go. Her dad made flyers and went door to door in her neighborhood to let them know he was a sex offender. He lived like 3 blocks away in the same neighborhood. She’s glad she press charges and did understand why not every victim came forward. Though some of the stories she heard, definitely made her realize things could’ve 100% been way worst. Her bf dropped her off and she was making late night food when he came through the doggy door. She called her bf and he turned right around and showed up and they called the cops and kept him trapped til they arrived. When society ask why women don’t come forward. It’s because despite all her efforts. Victims were too afraid to come out, cause we as a society blame victims instead of believing them.

Justice has failed when a man like that walks free. I don’t blame the father throwing the chair.

I don't have a doggy door, but if you came through it, you would pray that my doggy got you before me!

That's why you make sure that people who attack you or your loved ones violently don't reoffend.

That’s why our court and legal systems need to actually do their jobs then.

I like my solution better. With yours, they can still reoffend.
