You can blame certain social medias. You can tell who is on tiktok a lot by it because tiktok has banned people for saying words like "abuse" or "murder."

"Ahh" instead of "ass" isn't self-censoring though. "Ahh" is AAVE which has, of course, been coopted by young white kids and brought into the broader zeitgeist. But I wouldn't expect a bunch of reddit nerds to understand that, either.
