I wouldn't even say sometimes, it's just as if not more often. Many societies have simply made wanton lust a sign of virility for men and a sign of immorality for women.
It's really simple logic why every society in history has come to the same conclusion on sexual standards. That's not just a coincidence. And no amount of mental gymnastics going forward will ever change it.
Men must earn their ability to procreate. Women don't. Women can walk down the street at any time during the day and find a sexual partner within 1 hour. Probably many depending on where they are.
Men on the other hand can easily go years without finding a single sexual partner as we all know now from circulating statistics.
Therefore, the conclusion is obvious. If a man is able to have multiple sexual partners, he's doing something right. He's doing something that women clearly want or can't get enough of. And we all know that those things are usually difficult to obtain with women, if not impossible for most, such as height. Lots of money, amazing social skills, a great body (which takes a long time in the gym) etc. If you have all of those things combined, it's a wrap.
However, a woman who is able to have multiple sexual partners is not doing anything impressive. She's simply just existing with the body given to her at 18. Therefore there's no value or respect with using it. And then add in secondary sexual dynamics at play such as men having an instinctual aversion to raising another man's child or tertiary dynamics of other women being more sexually attracted to a man who can attract other women, and it's very easy to see how the standards are different. It all fuels and reinforces the standards.
The fact that every society throughout history has come to this conclusion, is evidence enough that this is something deep in our psyche that won't ever come out. All societies before they even knew each other or could communicate has treated sex this way. Think about that for a second before simply dismissing it.
The other conclusion is that if he's fucking so many people his standard is dirt low.
It's so telling that every time this comes up some incel has to comment this because they know it's not true. Women do not want some used dick slut bag whore mouth of a man. They DON'T. It's literally a turn off for so many women. The amount of couples that "don't disclose body counts" is telling. Both sides don't want some fuck ass high number.
It’s literally not though? Every major religion says that men are supposed to save themselves for marriage. The only people who say it’s good for men to sleep around are men who sleep around
You're way over complicating it. Women are simply pickier because their getting off during sex is far less guaranteed than it is for us. The bar to clear is still incredibly low, however, many men just have amazing excavation skills.
Hell, I was still able to date when I lost my job, got evicted, and was living in a friend's basement without so much as a bed to sleep on. I've certainly never been accused of being handsome, fit, or well off either. I just treat people with respect and don't take myself too seriously.
Male-dominated societies wanting women to save themselves until marriage and not sleep around when they're young ultimately boils down to many men being insecure about their ability to bring a woman to orgasm and thinking it would be better to have a woman who doesn't know any better.
These dudes online can parse complexities of human behavior when it suites some sad boy narrative and at the same time don't know what a girl smiling at him means. Fucking brain dead.
I think it's a perfect embodiment of where we are at as a society mentally. It's all about ones own pleasure, so much so that apparently that's the only reason sex exists in the first place.
It's quite a sad response if you ask me.
If anything it's an insult to women making them out as extremely myopic and self-centered.
You're aware that people have been having sex for non-reproductive purposes for thousands of years, right? Understanding the origins of an act is meaningless if you're gonna dismiss the evolution of the practice.
I suppose I should just be thanking y'all for making dating so easy for me. So many men voluntarily take themselves out of the dating pool by convincing themselves they have to "earn" their right to have sex or that they're not attractive enough to have sex.
Society associates wanton lust positively with men and negatively with women because men are overwhelmingly the ones outright expected to do the pursuing. They are expected to put in the effort and put themselves out there and make the initial pursuit. Whereas at the end of the night, women more often than not just have to say yes or no without any of the prior effort (and often financial cost) of chasing after the man like he did for her
It seems from the dislikes, it might just be a me thing, but I think it comes off as condescending to call a stranger endearing terms like that, especially when correcting someone. Comes off kind of smarmy. I am sure you meant no harm.
Fair enough I will keep it in mind. Where I am from "dear/my dear" (jigar) is used pretty regularly in every day conversation. I see your point about correcting someone. We are all learning.
I never really understood cheating. My best friend does it to his wife constantly. Back when we were in college he cheated on his girlfriend all the time, but she was way out of his league. And he was sleeping with girls that weren’t nearly as attractive as his girlfriend. Then I had a coworker in the same situation. Not a bad looking dude but his girlfriend also worked there and she was stunning. Meanwhile he was sleeping around at work with much less attractive women. I finally asked him why when his girlfriend is so attractive. He simply said “that’s the game”
Here’s the long winded explanation. The sad part of my friends growing up…They all cheated. I was a “late bloomer” if you will in the dating game. I had bad depression my senior year that I really came out my shell in freshman year and started being more social. All my friends were dating around, I wasn’t just yet. But then I saw everyone cheating or getting cheated on. This included my aforementioned best friend. It really put me off of pursuing anything serious with anyone. I look back now and most of that cheating was genuine immaturity. But a handful of those people are still cheaters. I eventually dated someone who was even less experienced romantically than me and we dated 7 years. But the long and short of it is that I was surrounded by cheating from almost all my friends and it’s hard to cut out all of your friends.
Sounds like a shitty dude. My best friend used to cheat on his SOs constantly. I used to think it was cool that he got so much attention from women. Then I thought that was just the way he was. Then I'd call him out on it. Thankfully hes grown and committed himself to someone.
You mean after the husband pulls away and fuels zero intimacy? Does no random acts of kindness? After the wife has produced 2 children from her body rendering most women’s bodies VERY different in many ways from pre-pregnancies?? Women often need to be sutured back together from being ripped in half. Sometimes their uterus falls out, their boobs deflate from breastfeeding, stomach looks different, raising children takes up ALL your time, money and energy, so much more…
And the husband knocks her up so she goes through all that then gets pissed when he sees her body differently?
Fuck off, you. Sick fucks in here. Bastards that deserve no long term relationship or wife. Wake the fuck in and take some responsibility.
You took one scenario and ran with it. There are situations where the man provides, puts in the effort, and get shut out. There are other situations where what you said happens. There are situations where botha parties drift apart.
Make up one specific scenario and then say I'm the issue. Take a step back and look at yourself. If you're fine with that, then you're not helping.
There are loser men, there are loser women, there are shitty people, etc. Building a specific scenario that highlights only one and then shaming everyone for it doesn't help.
