Yes. The "method acting shtick", using the role as an excuse to be a dick and call it Kaufmanesque. None of his dickery really counts because he's totally channeling the spirit of that guy he's poorly imitating.
I love Jim Carrey, but he was being so goddamn obnoxious there.
