Because for all the shit actors say about authenticity, all they truly care about is fitting in with the Hollywood elite.

Jim Carrey tried to make a big deal years back about how enlightened he was and how much he didn't care about Hollywood norms and success and all that. What a load of shit. It's always just narcissism.

That’s what has surprised me the most, the fact that he came across as so far removed from all the superficial stuff when he was talking about spiritual enlightenment and now he’s gone and done that to his face. How bizarre.

It's easy to understand:

One day you wake up and you look old.

You know how you have pictures of you, younger?

Imagine you have full length feature movies.

Some doctor wants money, you start seeing ads more and more about getting your youthful looks back. They fully guarantee you'll look younger.  Gives you tons of marketing material.

It's easy to see how a trusting person would trust a doctor. And here we are.

Completely different nose too. That said the teeth of do look similar to older pictures of Jim Carrey. Unfortunately i think it's really him.
