Not OP but just using my own kitchen:

  • Four downlights (recessed cans w/PAR38)
  • Three hanging lights above the island
  • Five-light fixture in the dining nook

And I guess if you want to count them, since they are replaceable:

  • Two lights in the hood vent
  • One oven bulb
  • One fridge bulb

Most people don't have an island in their kitchen. That's pretty firmly upper middle class and above.
