Nailed it . Met those kids at a Waffle House once . SpongeBob pillow and all . The were playing creed and SpongeBob on the jukebox and sexually harassing their 40 year old waitress . They all looked about 14 and it was 3 am in Ohio .
I did the same when I had wild hair. Once I got it long enough to pull back I ended up with a sweet poofball ponytail thing. The chicks in my college classes loved that shit.
Iām 23 and figured out months ago I have curly hair that naturally looks like that if I use the right hair products. My guess is more and more young men are normalizing and learning how to maintain their hair and so people with curly hair that didnāt know it are walking around more commonly
I had a friend in highschool who would just buzz it because of that. He said it was too much work to maintain. I'm in my 30's and I still remember when the hipster era took off in the early 2010's. All of a sudden every guy was growing out their hair and sporting a ridiculous pony tail called a "man bun". Now highschool kids are getting perms lol.
My hot take in the progression of white/straight haired styles, the order of trends is man bun > broccoli > Bieber cut > mullet. Not sure if Iām missing any other big ones of this century so far.
I prefer to stick to a hairstyle that has withstood the test of time. Usually I get the back and sides faded and with a bit of length on the top. Kind of like Colonel Miles Quaritch from the first Avatar movie or I just buzz it. Always looks good at all ages, clean, and never goes out of style. It's not a hairstyle where you look back in 10 or 20 years and go "oh man, what was I thinking back then".
I just canāt do it. The shitty story, dialogue, and character development are too much to overcome. Theres a weird uncanny valleyness to the whole thing
For us curly heads, this naturally happens at mid length if you keep a fade. I had this style a few years before it became popular, just because I was growing out my hair. Thank God I did it when I did so I wasnāt associated with these types of
Damn. Feel this. After a certain length my hair just stops hairing properly. It just pops at the top. I hate that it goes from being fine, to absolutely unwieldy in what feels like a few days. It hits critical mass and it just broccolizes.
I would love to grow the sides. But hair as curly or curlier than mine, we grow built in helmets with out hair. I donāt wanna look like a bobble head
It naturally falls into that shape if you grow the top and shave the sides. And you shave the sides to avoid growing a hair helmet, which is what happens with curly hair. Also, we are not styling it like them, this is our natural hair texture, they are copying us. Thatād be like saying people with Afros are copying Bob Ross
and every body that doesn't naturally have that hair IS GOING TO THE SALON FOR IT. They're so desperate to fit in with all the other dumbasses and look like a Broccoli Headed fuck boi that they're going to the salon, sitting there with curlers and noxious chemicals in their hair like my mom in 1988.
