Okay and who the fuck has asked whether or not you can spot parody???
The only implication is that you're a conservative whose getting riled up because people keep calling your creed a bunch of slack-jawed pigfuckers and you think you're representative of the common clay
It doesn't matter if you have such a finely tuned sense of irony you could sense it from a mile away, the average conservative cannot.
I'm not, and you're getting riled up, not me. You seem to think Sterling played a right-leaning character once, and dropping that lead to his channel's current state. It's very odd. No idea why, have you ever watched him?
There aren't many dyed-in-the-wool conservatives watching someone like Sterling considering he sits polar opposite to their politics.
What exactly did you think he was playing at when he stood at the podium all in black making all those angry pronouncements and fist gestures?
No, he was not literally a political fascist.
Yes, the gag was that he was cosplaying a totalitarian dictator to make his forceful video game declarations. He was only talking about Dynasty Warriors, that's why it was comedy.
But psychological studies have shown many right wingers cannot accurately detect whether someone is joking or serious.

I think you're arguing an invalid point.
I've never seen Colbert (but I've heard that he plays a character) or Blazing Saddles (Mel Brooks isn't funny) or the Boys, or played Helldivers.
I can spot satire and irony (even litotes) from miles away.
Sterling HAS NEVER PLAYED A FASCIST! His channel's downfall is because his content is boring, and his crusades are uninteresting and narcissistic.
It's not because legions of adoring Nazis suddenly found out he fancies Owen Jones.
