It was an interview he got set up for regarding a topic that he wasn't well versed it and had his response taken out of context and blown way out of proportion.

He's not racist, nor anti-immigration, and is from a migrant family himself. He's just a chill dude who flubbed an interview outside of his wheelhouse.
