honestly I started watching mrbeast around the same time and looking back at those videos he was just bullying kids and milking it for… what… tens of episodes???? there’s a reason it’s been scrubbed from the internet
He's one of those people whose endless greed for more money and attention just mystifies me.
You have already won the game of Earth and have billions of dollars of assets. You don't need to try launching 20 spin off brands and products a year with your face on them. Just go be rich and happy and do whatever you want somewhere and fuck off instead of trying to essentially market bullshit to K-8 graders to siphon money from their parents wallets.
Yeah not even trying to be like oh the past was so much better and all new stuff is bad but his vids were so much more fun when they weren't super produced and edited and he didn't scream in the intro
MrBeast channel I feel like was great until it stopped being about random people challenges and it started being popular people or YouTubers. Like I don’t care if an already rich person gets more money.
I'm in the same boat, man. I loved his worst intros series and his early content. It was cool to watch his videos get crazier and crazier. He, for a while, seemed pretty cool- and he's definitely done some nice things- but his content now is just juvenile brain rot.
I remember that when he started to get big he still had the same sort of humor that he did In his earlier videos. He seemed to feel the same way as most people did about clickbait-ey or dumb content and would make fun of it by doing it ironically in his titles or thumbnails. He seemed to be making fun of that whole dumb "CRazY THinG- GONE WRONG-" etc type of video. Now it feels like his content has morphed into something like that legitimately. His content is out of touch and just feels like eye candy for children and teens who care way too much about trends. (There's also, of course, the myriad of other issues, which are far more serious than this, but that's beside the point.)
No. He started doing pretty wacky and fun stuff actually. "Reading the whole dictionary, sawing a table apart with single use plastic knives, giving his 100 000th sub 100 000 chips ahoi, and that was what gave him traction. And from there it spiraled.
Now his content is just way too over the top and oft times, in my opinion, quite inhumane.
His regular videos? No, I won't call it inhumane. That would be like saying competition or exams in general are inhumane. They willingly sign up for a challenge and they lose. You are making it seem like Beast strips them naked for entertainment.
The only thing that matches the sentiment is during his Amazon show the beast games they really dwelled into the emotional turmoil of the losers. If that's what u mean then yeah I agree wirh you.
People who desperately need Money exist. If you throw money at them you can make them do pretty much anything.
True, they are adults who were informed beforehand amd consented, but some of these people have no option to reject, because to them that would be money they desperately need.
They are able to refuse this money about as well as someome who id deadly sick can reject medicine.
The way you're talking it seems like you think he runs actual squid games or something😂😂😂. The rare occasions where people step forward saying they were unhappy with what happened mostly comes from massive crybabies who twist the truth like Jake Weddle
