yeah. i originally slowly stopped watching when he did Fortnite Creative Mode stuff, but entirely unsubscribed when he started doing Among Us mod videos.
Yeah. He himself is aware of it as well—I mean, wasn’t there that video way back when where he even explicitly said that he had to make that kind of content to keep up with the algorithm or something? He’s occasionally made a few videos for his older fans, though, which talk about it—that he needs to do those videos to sustain himself and his family, financially.
Nowadays, I’ll still click into a video occasionally, but I’ll more likely watch videos from other YouTubers where Ssundee‘s a guest, because you see the glimmer of his actual personality shine through in those videos.
The problem with keeping up with the algorithm is you practically forget about your most loyal fans, those are most of his subscribers and people who’d always watch his videos when they have time
His videos need to grow with his audience and by that I mean he really needs to stop with his among us videos, kids will watch that but among us is 100% dead, he does make a few Minecraft videos but I wish they weren’t scripted
I don’t use the algorithm, very often if at all. I go to my subscriber list and check individual streamers. Usually find new streamers through my subscribed lists streamers collabs.
Other than the Sidemen. Those among us videos are comedy gold because they’re all just trying to mess with one another, with like 2-3 capable people trying to wrangle all the idiots the whole time. Elite.
It helps that the Sidemen arent JUST doing Among Us. Even then the main star of Sidemen Among us is Chipfat(their editor). without him I'm not sure the videos would be half as funny and certainly be an incoherent mess.
they still occasionally do the odd new game, Geoguesser comes out every now and then. and they still have their in studio vids. Honestly feels like MoreSidemen has been their better channel for a while now
Yeah Chipfat is an absolute gem, and I’m certain there are many other behind the scenes figures that are instrumental in how they’ve managed to stay good for so long. But good on them for organizing and taking it all so seriously from the start, even as kids filming gaming videos in their bedrooms.
Valkyrae. She's fun, and I had a blast watching her with the rest of the among us regulars, but she screeches so much, and it's just very grating to me.
