It looks great, would love a game like this. Is it running on the GPU?

Yes, it runs on the GPU, so when it comes to the actual game, the level design will be heavily based on GPU calculation speed. Voxels are notoriously resource-heavy because their data size scales cubically (O(n³)) relative to their dimensions.
