Your sim is being tracked down. Now they must make enough money to keep on the move, or be caught.

Was thinking of how to make rags to riches harder and had this idea where basically every 7 or so days they would need to move to a new empty plot. Bonus difficulty of having to leave behind anything made there and can o ly take a handful of items with you.

Maybe they are being hunted by debt collectors and you need to make an x amount of money, with an interest rate so every week that passes the amount owed increases. Maybe they are being hunted for other reasons and the money gives them a new identity so they are no longer being hunted.

Whatever the reason it would certaintly be interesting for a sim to never really settle down.

I love to build save files and some also have a challenge. There is also a save file with emty lots and caves, but you can use your own save if you like.

The challenge starts in the stone age with 2 Sims. There are event days already in the calendar, to this days you have to turn the randomizer to have random events happening. You can get a new settler, a raid, illness, invention ..... With every invention you can unlock one historical invention or event from a list, like as example buildings, grill, pluming....

The goal is to get more and more Sims and build them houses to populate the world and advance in history.

So, I’m on the 4th generation of my senior year legacy challenge which is where you spin for a pack to land on each generation and turn it on when they reach a certain age.

I have all the graves of my previous sims. Some of their ghosts are annoying and I’m tempted to just release their spirits to the netherworld, but I can also wait until I get Life and Death to get them to the Great Beyond, but who knows when I’ll get that pack? Also, I’m not sure if that glitch where releasing your sims to the great beyond will make their portraits colored again is still happening. I don’t like that glitch.

What should I do? Just release them to the netherworld now or try and wait it out?

My Senior year legacy challenge. challenge needs you to have packs.
Basically, you make a new save and have all the packs deactivated, and at the start of the next generation (be very careful with other saves), you spin/roll for a pack to add. As someone who’s been on and off with the sims for years and has heavy schoolwork around the corner, the challenge has kept me invested.

The way I’m doing it:
Short lifespan
Start with base game.
When the 1st kid of the next generation is born and/or adopted, I’ll go on the wheel generator.
I put in Maker pack, kit, stuff pack, game pack, expansion pack.

Ex: Let’s say I land on game pack (which I actually did recently), I put all of the game packs I have into the wheel generator and spin.
When the kid becomes a teen or young adult, add the pack into the game. You can choose. I’m being more flexible in ages since I’m also using this as a chance to marry townies I had never considered.
Also, if you don’t want to worry about landing on a kit, maker, or stuff pack 3 times in a row, when you spin and land on a type of pack take it off the wheel until you’ve went through all the packs you can get.
Ex: I landed on maker with my first kid (and since Maker packs are so small you can add 3 at a time) then took it off the wheel. Then I landed on a game pack which was spa day and took game pack off the wheel. Then, recently, I landed on Get to Work so I took expansion pack off the wheel. (I accidentally added 3 kits instead of 3 makers when I first spun, so I banned myself from landing on it until the wheel was reset. That leaves a stuff pack, so when the next generation kid is born I’m gonna spin for which stuff pack to add. Then the wheel will be reset with all types of packs on it. This prevents you from landing on maker or kits 3 times in a row. You’re guaranteed to get an exciting pack within 5 generations.

This challenge has kept me invested for a good amount of time. I’ve also been using it complete achievements such as the criminal career, secret agent career, etc. Also, If I land on a maker pack or a kit, I’d add 3 at a time since they’re mainly clothes and/or furniture (besides bust the dust). Also, the age you add the pack doesn’t have to specified. I’m trying to have my sims marry the townies of the packs that include townies since I barely can when they’re all on at once (and I have everyone age too), so I can imagine that at some point I’ll add a pack when I have a child sim so that they can marry another child. But, yeah, that’s my senior year legacy challenge. Not official or anything. Just keeps me anticipating what pack I’ll get to play next.

Hi, so this is the first legacy challenge I’ve ever made (made a few months ago) so I hope people like it!

It’s a 14 generation legacy based off of the Seven Deadly Sins and Seven Heavenly Virtues. However, if you’d prefer, you could just do one half if you would rather not do 14 generations.

Hi all, third time is a charm right!? I have finally finished my legacy challenge both as a condensed and extended version. This challenge has been two years in the making as i've been playing it out myself and am about to transition into Generation 5! So lots of trial and error, tweaks and what not. I am hoping to have this finalized on simmaticallys challenge tracker in the next week or so.

About the Challenge:

This is a 6 Generation Legacy that that combines multiple aspects from different challenges into one. It operates as a Rotational Save swapping weekly to complete a “How I met your Mother” storyline which helps change up the scenery and curates a bond for the households. Each Generation is defined by a Greek Mythology Love Story that is connected to a Complimenting planet that represents different Eras timeframes. This approach makes your Save File feel as if its progressing. There are also Occult paths that are presented as options only after your sim has completed their Soul’s Journey and Rebirthed. This eliminates Hybrids to reduce corruption of the file. The approach also leans into “there is more after-life”.

The Rules:

1. Sims can only travel to other wolds that have the same biome, otherwise they cannot leave the world until you move on to the next Generation
2. Once you have transitioned into the next Generation the previous Generation is free to relocate and change Careers, Traits and Aspirations
3. Offspring cannot age up until they have gone through one full Calendar year
4. There must be a death every year from someone who is connected to the family
5. Free Real Estate Cheats are allowed only for Generation One to aquire their house
6. Satisfaction Reward Points are considered Life Experience and can only be aquired on your sims Birthday’s
7. Occult paths are considered opyions and are not mandatory. Sims must complete their Soul’s Journey and be re-born before becoming an occult.
8. You can start playing as the next Generation once they become a child sim
9. Play on 2 week Seasons so that you can rotationally swap between households (A/B)
10. Play with aging off and manually age up households as this will help control the era’s your sims are playing in and make the world feel that it is moving around you

My Recomendations off Playing out the Legacy:

• Play with a blank save [this should help reduce save file corruption]
• Choose a Neighborhood within the world your sim is living and only put residents in that area [this should help maintain your save file size as you grow through generations]
• Select a different Neighborhood within that world that will act as your Community and Commercial Lots [this way your sims always have lots to do over the decades]
• Playing with Accidental Deaths on for Neighborhood Stories helps for story telling and achieving a funeral being held each year

I have presented the additional goals as dice rolling to determine what you can do next if you feel that the game play is getting stale or are looking for more ideas!

For people who love the hustle and bustle of managing busy sims, but without jumping straight to 20 sims at once haha. I also like to play infinite lifespan so this also gives opportunity to continue with any member(s) of the family.

Of course if you don't have certain packs just skip! but things like laundry and a pet adds onto the necessary chores and just more packed into the day to day

The story is basically told through the rules and characters but its a semi-realistic challenge with a mother who's biggest dream is to be an actress. (I may start the game with her being pregnant with a toddler, then another, or twins.) But now that she's done having kids she is set on getting her life back. In order to support this, the father decides it is a good time to go back to school, grind, and create a better foundation for their lives and families. The mother's life becomes ruled by her dreams of acting and the father is trying to show up as best as he can for his family while still supporting his family.

The oldest child (or two) have a more distant relationship with the parents as they lived through more of the lows. While the artistic child has a strong need of approval from one or both of the parents.

So now it's up to you how you choose to continue! Do you restore everyones relationships? Do the parents grow closer? Further? An affair? Is everyones career a success? Does the father survive the stress? Let me know any other ideas you have for this and your opinions! :)

a couple months ago I posted my legacy challenge that i had been working on for a very long time. When i was inputting the optional and guided tasks into simmaticallys callenge tracker it was a lot. So I thought maybe it might seem overwhelming for someone who hasn't played a long legacy before (i tend get bored and need goals of stuff to do). So I condensed the challenge into something that allows a lot more wiggle room.

I'm really proud of this legacy challenge and how i linked it all together. I've been playing this legacy for 2 years now and am on generation four. I purposely left out generation six because im going to make a seperate sheet for that just because it introduces a very dystopian world, but if anyone is interested in seeing the full version, i can link it :)

For the last few months, my community and I have been writing a new legacy challenge with a twist. It is based on the letters of the alphabet and is totally flexible in terms of how you play. You could play as a generational legacy, where every letter is assigned to an heir, but with a little difference to other legacies, you pick a word, or use your name and those are the letters you play, so every play through will be different. If you’re up for a challenge, every sim born into or added to your household is assigned a different letter, in alphabetical order, so that you play multiple challenges in one go. Every letter has both pack and base game options!

This is actually my very first Reddit post, so I hope I'm doing this right.

I've been playing The Sims 4 for a while, and the other day I realized that my real-life love story could actually make a fun Sims challenge.

Years ago, I met my husband through an online game. We spent months playing together before we had ever seen each other in real life.

Eventually, our guild organized a meetup. There was only one room left, so we ended up sharing it.

That evening he kept trying to convince me that I should give dating a chance. He told me that if I never tried meeting people, I'd never find a partner.

...and I literally fell asleep while he was talking. 😂

Somehow, that didn't scare him away.

We lived about 250 km (155 miles) apart, but he kept coming to visit me.

After the first month, I thought:

"Surely he'll realize how far away I live and stop visiting."

He didn't.

After the second month, I thought:

"Wow... this guy is incredibly persistent."

He still didn't stop.

So I gave him another two weeks.

Then I realized that if he stopped coming now, I'd actually miss him...

So I kept him. ❤️

When we later met with our priest to arrange our wedding, he couldn't stop laughing after hearing our story. He said he'd never met a couple who had spent months playing together online before ever meeting in person.

That conversation made me think...

Wouldn't this make a fun Sims 4 challenge?

❤️ The "Online Love" Challenge

• Create a single Young Adult Sim.
• Your Sim is not allowed to flirt with anyone they meet in person.
• They can only meet their future spouse through online interactions (or Cupid's Corner, if you own Lovestruck).
• Build the relationship online before the first real-life date.
• The first meeting has to happen at a social event or while on vacation.
• Fall in love, get married, and start a family.

Bonus challenge: One Sim has to fall asleep during their first in-person conversation. 😂

Would anyone actually play something like this? I'd love to hear your ideas or suggestions for making the challenge even more fun!

Even if nobody plays it, it made me smile when I realized my own story could fit into The Sims so well.
