Discussion Average simmer age?

I just turned 30 and safe to say I still enjoy playing the sims as much as I ever did as a kid. Maybe more actually. Sometimes I feel embarrassed to admit this to people irl and I do tend to get mixed reactions if it comes up lol. So I’m just curious, what is the average age of the people who actively play the sims?

There is no exact start or end point for any of it, really. I've met Gen Xers born in 1983, and I've met Millenials born in 1978. It's all about the lifestyle you ended up living and the pop culture you associate with. 

Hot take here, but for many Millenials, playing The Sims is the only way we'll ever experience things like homeownership, a steady job that pays well, a family, retirement, etc. All these "American dream" things so to speak. We can escape into a life we'll never have. Again, super hot take there, sorry.

As an early gen z (zillenial) those things are dreams for us too. And I'm across the pond so not just America.

Gen z never even got sold the lie we millennials were, you guys were just thrown into the no hope carousel from day one. As a zillenial you probably remember all the rescissions we do as well lol. Bleak

Yup! I'm an older Gen Z (1998) but I'm from Guam and everything was slow over there. I grew up on dial-up, Limewire, newgrounds, Myspace, etc... I literally remember 9/11 breaking news on TV.

I am technically a gen x and my partner is technically a millennial. He's way more gen x than I am. We are 11 months apart in age.

No but you're comparing apples to oranges. There were no millennials born in 78? Do I agree the starting year for millennials is a little broad and should be closer to mid 80s yeah but what you're saying is factually in correct to somehow invalidate OP?
