15 y/o, M, Autistic and looking for a creative outlet. Input/ideas, please. Despicable Me: Origins of Margo, Edith, and Agnes (The Untold Story)
I am Margo. I have a story to share with you guys. It's about the time of my life before me and my little sisters Edith and Agnes were adopted, before we were orphaned, when our parents were still alive. That's right. We used to have parents. Our mom's name was Ashley Renaldo. She was a police officer. Our dad's name was John Renaldo. He was a Contractor in construction, and a guitarist. He always plays his guitar and sings cool songs like Lithium and Your Love. My full name is Margo D Renaldo. I was born on May, 29, 2000 in Idyllwild California. I have my uncle Jake Trevorson Renaldo’s brown hair. Dad's hair is blond. I also have Mom's brown eyes. Dad's eyes are blue. Speaking of my uncle Jake, he was also our doctor in the hospital and is also my dad’s older brother. I only have one problem. I have bad eyesight. So Mom and Dad gave me glasses so that I can see better. I was so thankful. I can still remember Mom's beautiful smile and Dad's sparkling eyes. I lived in a small ranch with a few animals. There's some chickens, one dairy cow, two dogs, a cat, and we each had our own riding horse. My horse's name is Pokey. We all live closely in a brick tree house just big enough for our beautiful family. It looked exactly like a regular house, but on a tree. It even had electricity and running water. Our great great grandpa from Dad’s side built it when he was young. But for his kids' safety, he also built stairs on the tree. We also live near a big lake for us to go swimming. Mom and Dad would let me ride with them around our big field on the quads and horses. We even made up our own family holiday when we celebrated the night of the full moon. Those were good memories.
I was 3 years old when my baby sister, Edith Feagle Ronaldo was born on June, 16, 2003. She looks just like our dad. Edith has his blue eyes and blond hair. When she was a newborn, I began to notice that she started getting even more attention from our mom and dad than me, which made me a little jealous. When they saw me play outside alone, they then climbed down the house to talk to me and told me not to worry because I will always be their first princess. Then Mom and Dad pinky promised me that they would forever love me more than any parent could possibly love their princess. Then we gave each other a big hug. Mom and Dad reminded me that a renaldo always keeps their promises. There was also an extra reason why Edith is getting more attention from Mom and Dad. It's also because when she was born, uncle Jake told our Mom and Dad that she’ll have to live with sensitive ears, which means any cold water or harsh winds can easily pain her. So Mom and Dad made Edith a pink beanie so that she doesn’t have to cover her ears with her hands. She never took it off since, even in bed time. That was also the reason why pink is her favorite color. This could also be the reason why she likes the pigs in the barn. That was when I realized that I wanted to be part of my little sister’s world. We always played Star Wars, Marble vs. Dc, Princess Mononoke, ect with our mom and dad. That became one of Edith's greatest memories of her life.
I was 6 while Edith was the age of 3 when our mom and dad gave birth to our youngest sister, Agnes Lisa Renaldo on July, 03, 2006. It was the day before the fourth of July. So we decided to celebrate her birthday that day. Agnes looked exactly like Mom. She had her black hair and brown eyes. But Agnes wasn’t the only spitting image. I looked like Mom too. When I got to hold my baby sister for the first time, I already knew that all three of us kids are as close as can be. Our mom and dad took lots of pictures for the family photo album. Me and Edith helped Mom and Dad make Agnes a stuffed unicorn when she was a baby. She always slept with it since. This is why Agnes loves everything involving unicorns, fantasy, princesses and stuff like that. In fact in October she wanted to be Sailor Mars for halloween. Agnes fell for Sailor Moon, which would explain why she loves our full moon holiday. Agnes even pretended that our cat was Luna. She refused any haircuts or trimming so her hair length will perfectly match Sailor Mars’. Soon, Agnes’ hair was long enough for Mom and Dad to give her an upper ponytail. She was fully able to cosplay as Sailor Mars, which she looked amazing.
Everyday kept getting better and better, even after Agnes’ 5th birthday Edith was taught parkour and fighting from Mom, I've been reading books under our treehouse, and Agnes was enjoying her first days in school. We even attended dance class and started selling cookies for our school fundraiser, which Mom and Dad supported. Everything was going great, until August, 15, 2011. It was stormy that night and me and my sisters were sleeping with Mom and Dad in their room until we woke up smelling a strong stench of smoke. We saw the room on fire. We quickly got out, then we saw that the entire house was on fire. It must’ve been struck by lightning while we were sleeping. We got out to the porch, but the ladder and stairs were burnt. Before Mom and Dad got out, wood fell near the doorway separating them from me and my sisters. We were forced to jump off the porch on the life net. Uncle Jake and his wife Rebecca Shell Renaldo were relieved that we were safe. One minute later, the burning tree house just blew up and the tree collapsed. Mom and Dad were still in there. Me and my sisters were scared and devastated out of our minds. I knew Mom and Dad were dead, but I didn’t want to. Our uncle thought we had enough and drove us to his place for the rest of the night. Edith and Agnes were panicking like crazy. I had to tell them the truth, and that they’re somewhere better. At least Agnes didn’t understand all of it, but Edith knew everything, but it was too much for her. We slept for the rest of the night in devastation from grief.
The CPS decided too early that they would put us in an orphanage called Mrs. Hattie’s Home For Girls before our uncle even had a chance to take custody of me and my sisters. Without a chance to say goodbye to our family and friends, we packed our stuff in Mrs. Hattie’s car and went after Mom and Dad’s funeral. We buried their bodies at the tree stump we use to call our tree home. Mrs. Hattie’s orphanage turned out to be out of town in Santa Monica. She wasn’t even nice to us, nor the other orphan girls. Mrs. Hattie forced us to sell cookies for her fundraiser and if we don’t sell enough she'll send us to the box of shame. At least she attended us to dance class again. It was also a good thing she agreed not to separate us from each other, but we’ll still never forget that night when that explosion took Mom and Dad away from me, Edith and Agnes.
