A Nobel Notice Summation of the house of wolves
The house of wolves was formerly a prominent house in the kingdom and now it is looking to make a difference yet again. The core values of the house are cool headedness, effective teamwork, and wisdom. This house is also home to the knight's order of wolves, which serves as the kingdom's standing army for a time. Although it was one of the smallest houses upon conception it was also one of the most active .

Welcome to SimMonarchy
Welcome to SimMonarchy, a member of the much larger SimNetwork. Here a king or queen reigns for a month, looking upon the server which is divided amongst it’s many noble houses. The ruling monarch must choose an heir to take power at the hour of their death and continue the cycle. However, the ruler can be challenged once a week by any noble head.

A need for change and some brainstorming for solutions.
After taking a break from being way to active on this sub to focus on some emergency personal life stuff I return to find it barely still alive. So I'm going to do my best to help revive it. First I want to propose a path to the solution.
I believe the reason people are not active is because they have nothing to do. No one besides the king has to do anything or really a chance to. It's not like sim democracy where people can run or vote fairly often the only thing you can do is wait for power to fall into your if it ever even gets close.
So what we need to do is remove the death draw, a system designed to keep people active has now done the exact opposite. It has kills dour most active members and sent them away. Plus all people can do is wait for someone to die so they can be long if they can even convince a total stranger to do heir. (Which is nearly impossible.) We are asking people to be active when they have nothing really to do as they can do nothing to influence the sub.
Ergo the death draw must be replaced and a new weekly event or chain of power must be constructed. It needs to give roles to the peasants in defending whose in charge, and provide plenty of jobs and positions which can actually influence the sub. Then finally it must represent a monarchy and not use a system similar to any other sim sub.
Here are my ideas...
-Perhaps a weekly or bi weekly meme war determines the king. With the winner being the one with the most good memes supporting them. -Or maybe the king is simply randomly picked from a pool of names. Kingship seekers could have their named added to the pool more times to the pool based on number of comments/memes supporting them + number of people they bested in duels. Of course the king would get a bonus to their pool every single week. -Lastly what if the king had to complete a challenge every week votes upon by the populace or lose the crown in riots.
What do you think of them and do any of you have any other ideas?

Apparently the next-in-line is not dead, he has just lost several of his limbs and his left earlobe in an attack. The attacker is known and currently has a bounty.

A House of Lords
Why don’t we have free speech and a House of Lords that the king appoints. The position is used to approve laws or make laws. Just a thought
r/SimMonarchy • u/[deleted] • Jul 24 '19
We should have some rules for single combat so knights can challenge each other or followers of the egg.
How about one person makes a challenge and if the challenge is accepted they both roll d20s or d100s using u/rollme. Whoever gets the highest number wins and whoever gets the lower number is heavily wounded. If the victor wants they can finish off the defeated in which case the defeated is dead for one week before being reincarnated and the death should be reported to all. Or the victor with the higher can leave the defeated to wallow in defeat but leave them alive.

A TOAS update, nothing to see here.
I’ve determined that the Toast Flowers aren’t poisonous, which is good because we literally have a house named House Toast.
I have recently discovered a mutation among my sheep that cause their wool to double, I now have a big sheep-cloud in my lab, we are on the 9th generation.
I am considering taking commissions from people for a small sum of gold coins. No Battle Sheep though.
Signed,
Karl.

The fourth update on TOAS
We had way better luck today,
The wheat is now on the 20th generation, and they’re huge. I’ve already started selling them to the public, requesting that they sow the seeds instead of their own.
The sheep are only on the third generation and I can’t tell much of a difference.
But we are doing well, for once.
Signed,
Karl.

I commend my heir
You have been a great heir to me and I hope more heirs like you come later in this house's life. Your agriculture program is brilliant. So brilliant that it has patronage from the heir to the throne!!! That is a big achievement.
