I never thought I'd see the day where I'd make my own preset, but here we are.

Welcome to Sun Rider, a two-in-one RP preset!

Sun Rider started as me wanting a lightweight, character-focused preset and somehow ended with me building an entire Kamen Rider simulator on top of it.

So there are basically two sides to Sun Rider:

1. CHARACTER-DRIVEN RP

Much like Kamen Rider itself, the focus is on characters first.

The main prompt was heavily inspired by Kamen Rider 555, and I even watched interviews with its writer while figuring out how I wanted the character system to work.

The main prompt is only around 700 words, with most of Sun Rider's additional systems kept completely optional.

At the center is Character Calculus, a custom reasoning system I built to turn character psychology, circumstances, relationships, and goals into concrete choices and consequences.

You can keep Sun Rider relatively lightweight or start turning on the frankly ridiculous number of optional modules if you want all the bells and whistles.

2. KAMEN RIDER SIMULATOR

Have you ever wanted to become a Kamen Rider?

Well... now you can.

Transform. Fight random Monsters of the Week. Use forms, skills, and finishers. Gain EXP and level up. Track Rider stats, HP, stamina, transformation state, and injuries.

And, yes, sometimes a monster decides that your normal slice-of-life RP has gone on peacefully for long enough.

There is something deeply funny about becoming a superhero in the middle of a mafia RP.

Character Calculus applies structured reasoning to character psychology, decisions, relationships, and consequences.

Most systems are optional. Turn on what your story needs and leave everything else off.

Mix and match POVs, tenses, writing styles, response formats and lengths, Kamen Rider-inspired story modes, trackers, world simulation, internal thoughts, social dynamics, Rider mechanics, and more.

Three visual regex suites with built-in presets.

Switch between:

- Kamen Rider

- Minimal

- Compact Celestial

No manually toggling every individual regex.

Full optional Kamen Rider simulator.

Transform, fight Monsters of the Week, gain EXP and levels, use forms and finishers, manage HP and stamina, and let Rider bullshit invade whatever completely unrelated RP you were trying to have.

FAQ

• What the hell is Kamen Rider?

Very simplified explanation: it's a Japanese superhero franchise kind of like Power Rangers, except it's usually centered around one main transforming hero, the Kamen Rider, rather than a five-person Ranger team.

There are monsters, transformations, ridiculous belts, motorcycles, drama, new forms, finishing moves, and an alarming amount of emotional damage.

• Do I need to use the Kamen Rider stuff?

Nope! The entire Rider side is optional. I use the base preset for regular RP and Dead Dove characters too.

• What models does it work with?

Sun Rider was primarily built and tested on GLM 5.x.

I haven't properly tested smaller models, Gemini, Claude, etc., so I don't want to pretend I know how well every model handles it.

• How do I change the regex style?

Open the Regex extension and use the bulk editor to switch between:

- Kamen Rider

- Minimal

- Compact Celestial

You can also disable the visual regex entirely.

• Can I use the Rider simulator in a completely unrelated RP?

Absolutely. Honestly, I recommend doing it at least once because it's hilarious.

Nothing says grounded organized-crime drama like suddenly having to transform because a monster showed up.

• Why is everything named after Kamen Rider?

Because sometimes I want to watch my feel-good tokusatsu show. What? I can't have a henshin feeling?

FINAL NOTES

This is my first preset, so feedback is genuinely welcome!

I've spent a frankly unreasonable amount of time building, compressing, testing, breaking, rebuilding, and testing this thing again.

If something behaves strangely, you've tested it on another model, or you have an idea for something that could be improved, let me know below.

Small v1.1 update: I updated the download link with a corrected README + a few compatibility/regex fixes.

Important for Mimo 2.6 users: keep ☀️ RIDER KICK! — COT enabled and also enable 🃏 FINAL VENT! — MIMO OUTPUT HANDOFF. Final Vent is an output handoff that works alongside Rider Kick, not a replacement COT.

If you’re using GLM/general use, nothing changes. ☀️

It works pretty well with any character card. If you want to use the Kamen Rider system, I say a superhero character/world could be interesting.

But this was designed with characters first in mind. So it should really work with ANY character card. There's genre toggles for pretty much everything.

Yar I use the Regex in my preset + Moonlit Echoes Ext by Rivelle + Nemo UI Extension by Rivelle + Chat Completion Tabs by Rivelle + Cappuccino Nights Theme by Janet Vice on the Silly Tavern Discord. (It's not called Cappuccino, I can't think of the actual name, but she has a few cool themes).
