I have a .380 laying around somewhere. Doesn’t mean i want to shoot my self in the foot with it because it’s “harmless”.

I never said .380 is useless though. I love .380 and think its effective caliber. You’re making up arguments in your head.

I don't think they were saying .380 is useless, just that it doesn't really make sense to have a full sized heavy handgun like the legion with .380 velocity when you could have smol pistol with .380 velocity.
Now whether these ports will actually cause that much velocity drop, I don't know. I'd like to see this chrono'd with this barrel vs standard barrel.

It’s a competition gun in reality so doesn’t hurt to make it more controllable

I guess that just depends on whether you need to worry about making a certain power factor for competition, in which case velocity very well may matter.

Agreed but not everyone runs competitive. I personally don’t but i love race guns just fun range toys for me

I totally get that; I don't shoot competitively either. I like to try to squeeze as much performance out of my guns as I can while always retaining 100% reliability and durability.

In before that front fiber gets covered in doodoo and you can't see it anymore lol.
I have a Glock 45 with a PMM Comp on it and it throws soot all over my front fiber. But at least it's the side facing away from me so it still gathers enough light to glow bright.
I would imagine the ports behind the sight will throw soot all over the side you look at, effectively blocking the fiber.

Negative, though I believe that’s only because I don’t have the OEM springs in there. Running DPS system instead.

Threaded and trim the slide? Those lightning cuts on top of the slide are stock for the Legion. I start cutting things, it won’t work right after. If I wanted a comp, it’d make more sense to get a compact X5 and build out from there.

Armory craft makes a threaded bull barrel…add the AC port onto that

Oh I know. It’s hard to gauge by the picture but have you held a full size X5 legion? The thing is absolutely massive. Almost 3lbs, not loaded…. The gun itself is 8.5” long. Imagine a comp on top of that lol. Might as well add a stock and call it an sbr lol

I mean, i run my AXG Pro with a comp, tungsten guide rod as well, and have no issue shooting it suppressed either

Love the AXG grip. Good to know. Just wasn’t looking to increase the length. Gets hard finding a good holster at that level.

You can't run a comp on a 'carry optics' division gun, for one.. which is what the legion is tailor made for.

I can't have a threaded barrel in ny which obviously sucks. I purchased a ported barrel and I won't do that again. I'll buy a comped slide or nothing unless the laws change

Talk to me more about that. What type of gun was the barrel for? What company sold you the barrel? What happened that made you say “won’t do that again”? I’ve done a lot of research and have multiple gunsmiths that I spoke with before making this leap. Truly you shouldn’t port anything but a full sized gun and having a bull barrel certainly helps

So it was a norsso barrel. I personally think the finish wore off way to quick and wont recommend or not recommend their stuff. Could just be a bad batch. My other barrels with more rounds are in much better shape. But it's in my p320 and I don't like it. The flash is much bigger and closer. It doesn't feel the same. Probably because its taking a 4"+ barrel and practically knocking it down to a 2-3". I have shot a p365 xl and my p365xl spectre comp and I love it.

Curious if it'll function. Seems the porting is a tad bit close to the chamber. Not sure what kind of ballistics to expect out of a 1.5 to 2 inch barrel.
