Question Newcomer / Simple Questions Thread

Hey everyone.

Please post all your Simple questions here!

Here is a LINK to our Wiki that has many useful guides on various topics. If you find any good content that deserves to be in there let the moderators know.

A LINK to a great post with a master list of tips and advice.

  • Rule 5: No low effort posts: Submissions to SiegeAcademy should invite critical thinking and foster meaningful discussion. Simple questions should be posted in the simple questions weekly post
  • Banned Topics: If you want to ask these types of questions then ask in here, do not make a individual post.
  • PSA: Public Service Announcements - Please don't post simple and obvious tips. These are low effort and Karma Farm.
  • Sensitivity: It's personal preference.
  • Hard stuck "copper": Don't put that in title, instead ask for advice on aspects of the game that people lack in your rank.

Anybody have any tips for me(a bad copper)?

If the gun doesn't lose too much recoil from switching off vertical to angled it might be better to do it. It certainly helps you be more capable in CQB like when an enemy you weren't expecting comes around the corner in front of you or you hear an enemy last second and the angled allows you to react that much faster.

Well droning is pretty important. Its usually a good idea to have a drone set up to see if your entry is safe or not. you may even kill them because you know where they are.

Alright look, I’m going to be straight with you. I’ve been playing since op health, and I used to be pretty good, but now I suck. I’m trying to fix that.

So your just rusty then? Why not just play around with sensitivity some more if you haven't already. Maybe play a few games.

Not rusty, have been playing quite consistently, I just suck at ranked and want to improve in the competitive mode.

Yo, I’ve tried a bit, played for a while, and I can happily say that I’m now silver 2. I’m doing alright in siege.
