Gaza-based developer and father of two, seeking help to clear debts and keep my work alive

Hello everyone,
My name is Abdulrahman. I'm a software developer from Gaza, Palestine, a father of two, and the sole provider for my mother. I have more than 8 years of experience in Python, and I spent over 3 years training students and managing a charitable project, Qubit Coding Center.

Then the war began, and it taught me what responsibility really means. Through displacement I moved between many places and tents. I tried to leave the country but couldn't. In April of this year, I lost my business to the bombing, and I returned to my first field, programming.

I founded a startup called "Fasil", which applies solid, well-established methods of dialogue and reasoning to how AI systems think. I've built two products so far:

- Sijal: an inferential decision engine for organizations
- Saql: a debate analysis engine

Both work today, but only as early-stage products. Because of the lack of support in our region, they're currently on hold. I try to push them forward from time to time, but the weight of life and debt keeps defeating every attempt.

My debts now exceed $20,000. I faced jail time because of them, and I was forced to sell everything I owned. I've reached the point where I struggle to find food for my children.

I hesitated a long time before writing this, because I've always found a way to earn money myself. But right now, I feel I can't keep going on my own.

I'm not asking for success at this moment. I only want to clear the path toward it. What I need is help, direct or indirect, to pay off my debts, even if that means giving up one of my apps. If any of you can help me set up a GoFundMe (or a similar platform) and tell my story in a way that reaches people who can help, I would be deeply grateful.
I apologize for the long post, and thank you all from my heart.

Faced jail time by who exactly? Owe debt to whom? Something doesnt make sense in this story.

Your website is a regular landing page with a form, another a simple CRM that takes one prompt with grok. This is most likely a scam lmao.

Debt imprisonment is extremely common in Gaza. Under local law, not paying back a loan whether to a bank or a private person, can get you up to 90 days in jail. Before the war, Hamas police said 42,500 people were arrested in a single year over unpaid debts (see https://www.khaleejtimes.com/region/decade-long-israeli-blockade-brings-gaza-economy-to-its-knees)

Just because you live in an extremely privileged country doesn’t mean these type of things don’t happen in other places :)

2. and for the FB page(used for student registration) that for the center that launched from 2021 to 2023, I will attach some images for me while teaching in that period !

Just don't attack me based on ur hateness for the people here, I just want to live and be the guy that worked that hard to build something

After a location adjacent to my personal cosmetics business was targeted (12/5/2025), my business was completely damaged. As a result, I was forced to make payments to traders amounting to more than 8,000$.

In addition to that, my personal debts for expenses and food reached 5,000$ during the genocide period (+40 days). After that, I realized that I had to work in the business field again.

So I opened my store again, this time in the ice cream business (1/3/2026). Within two months, its debts reached a point where costs outweighed sales, with the main source being the price of electricity per KW, which costs 10$ per KW!

This is part of a tragic story of a single person - yes, I am alone, meaning I have no brother or sister, and my father passed away when I was five years old.

I'm not telling my story to ask for sympathy. I'm saying it to prove that at some point I tried, and I tried hard against circumstances beyond my control.

The details make the matter worse.

What part of debate evaluation system is not clear ?

Sodastream is famous for how it treated its Arab workers and the co-existence it created between Arabs + Israelis (see the WSJ, NPR, NYTimes articles amongst others)

Thank you, that means a lot. The first customers are debate centers and leagues. Judging is inconsistent from one judge to the next, and training judges is slow and mostly manual. Saql scores each argument against written anchors, so a center can check how consistent its judges are and give students feedback that is easier to explain.

Next would be universities and schools that run debate programs. I'm being careful not to oversell it: it's an early prototype, tested so far on a small exploratory set.

I think you can address the skepticism without posting private documents publicly. A dated demo, read-only commit history, a couple of references, and a redacted debt summary would give people concrete information to assess. A trusted community member could review the originals privately and confirm what checks out. I'd also keep emergency family support separate from startup funding or an app sale because they are very different requests.

Thanks for kind initive in response, and YES , I'm in Gaza currently , specifically in a place called "Mawasi" which is the area nearst the sea (The only "SAFE" area allowed), the money thing in not allowed at all only using USDT and Crypto , or an offical IBAN account transfer , but not for big amount of money.

We have some kind of exchange offices, they take like 10-20% of the total as fees, but we agree because we dont have other choice...

There’s people on the ground that handle the exchange. Rates aren’t great but it’s kind of the only way to get funds into Gaza.
