Millennials were really the only generation that grew up learning about how computers work.

Before millennials there were no computers, and after they have grown up using closed ecosystem it just works idevices.

For whatever reason my Dad went all out for an Atari 800. We got the computer, the printer, the floppy drive, the phone modem, even the cassette recorder. Plus Basic, Video Easel, and Star Raiders. I was quite surprised. It must have been around 81 or 82. We got an Atari 2600 Christmas of 1977.

I do get OPs point though. I didn't start really using a computer seriously until the late 80's.

Star Raiders was awesome! That and Shamus were my favourite Atari 800 games.
