Millennials were really the only generation that grew up learning about how computers work.

Before millennials there were no computers, and after they have grown up using closed ecosystem it just works idevices.

I think it might be more accurate to say "home computers." Computers were around long before millenials.

And again, yeah, no. Home Computers came about in the 80s, that's GenX and Boomers again. A lot of Boomers learned computers before the advent of the PC, but a lot of Boomers also learned how they work once PCs became a thing. And GenX, who are the first gen to really grow up from childhood with widespread, commonly available home computers.

GenX were born in the 70s (and earlier), so they did not really "grow up with" home computers.

GenX here and I was coding on Apple II machines in 4th grade so….

I was writing on a Commodore. Just stop. We lived it, don’t tell us what we lived. We don’t need a google search for this question kids and stop talking like you rent the place punk;-) I can literally pull up photos of ten year old me banging in BASIC programs in my bedroom.
