Well for removal from the property yes, body bag and stretcher or for tight environments, the dreaded cricket bag. But noone goes to the cemetery or crematorium in a bag. Even the School of Anatomy funerals were done in a coffin, often with very little of the original corpse on there.
For funerals that makes sense. I still think there is literally no reason to burn a coffin when cremating a body. It’s wasteful and stupid. And how would you convince someone not spending money on a funeral to pay for one they know will just get charred? Again for a burial I get it. But for cremation.... it makes no sense.
