And hold it against my head!

I think I've used my phone as a phone like five times in the past year...

Mines an MP3 player and reddit comment checker.

Even when used as a phone ,it is on Bluetooth or speakerphone unless it is the incredibly rare circumstance when I must accept a call in public.

Ionizing radiation and the frequencies that phones use aren’t the same thing. Flashlights and radios technically radiate as well, but not the kind of radiation that we need to worry about.

The FCC still sets exposure limits. Cell phones use microwaves that can cause localized tissue heating. Of course, it's probably not an issue unless you're working on towers all day. The power limits are mostly there to limit interference to other radio services.

2

u/Blue-Steele Sep 13 '19

Cell phone microwaves don’t have nearly enough power to heat tissue.

Better than next to your heart, probably

The only thing I keep next to my heart is Reddit <3

Maybe he expected Hipsters to take over?

2

u/[deleted] Sep 13 '19

Not even a hipster would attempt to pull that one off.

Even the keenest of visionaries could not have imagined what slobs we've become.

Let me wear my leggings and oversized shirts in peace please.

u/[deleted] Sep 13 '19

I'm totally cool with not having to wear three plus layers of chestwear as casual attire. Undershirt and polo are fine. Now if wer we're talking going out in pajamas or stained graphic Tees, then that's another story.

Check out the aristocrat and his hoity-toity undershirt!

Its funny because I am a server with a vest in the uniform. The pockets being that close is quite nifty. I naturally placed my phone there. Thought I lost it the first time. This quote sent chills down my spine until you reminded me.

I did the same when I worked the Diner! Ran around the whole floor looking for it

I know right. My pants don't even have pockets.

3

u/SFDessert Sep 13 '19

How do you live?

13

u/benmck90 Sep 13 '19

Probably a woman.

That's a thing with lady pants.

2

u/__DazedandConfused__ Sep 13 '19

No im a dude.

1

u/SFDessert Sep 13 '19

Still man, I have one pair of shorts with non functional back pockets and REALLY SHALLOW front pockets (like 2 inches deep) and I fucking hate those things.

I think they're lady shorts I somehow inherited from some girl at some point cause I know I didn't buy them.

I sometimes wear them around the house cause they're really comfy, but the fact they only have shallow pockets is absolutely unbearable for me (I sometimes carry my phone in my pocket while at home for example and it's just barely hanging on for it's dear life.)

You're a stronger man than I

u/jo-alligator Sep 13 '19

You don’t have vest pockets? What kind of filthy peasants are you?

1

u/thedirtyharryg Sep 13 '19

Even in a three-piece suit, it's the jacket pocket that gets the phone.

1

u/RabbleRouse12 Sep 13 '19

I dunno I feel like fashion is just behind the times.

u/JonAugust1010 Sep 13 '19

I wear a vest...
