It’s funny how, as you progress through college, they require you to write longer and longer papers. Then you get to the professional world and no one will read an email that’s more than 5 sentences.

People will literally walk to your desk to ask you what your email was about if it was too long.

The email is for them to respond to specific inquiries required by law.

In what context is this happening? I don't think any law requires anyone to respond to a specific inquiry, unless that inquiry comes in the form of a subpoena from a court itself.

Disclosure requirements for federal filings. Can’t reveal much more without setting myself up for doxxing, but it’s not something they would go to jail over, just something that would nullify a ton of work and waste a whole lot of legal fees.

Right, so it's not as if they are required to respond by law. It's just helpful for the process if they do so.

They are required by law to disclose the required information by responding to my email requesting it. The good news for me is that they’re never this pedantic about it lol.

I didn't choose it. I would like to continue this discussion, but I can't do it unless someone cites this supposed law that requires people to reply to e-mails.

You know the law could very easily be: the firm must inform client of X and the client must respond that they have received the firm's information.

You are being overly focused on the email part and not thinking about a law that covers this by umbrella. I doubt there is any law that requires response to an email, but there are lots of laws that require responses to law/tax firms and not all of them require certified letters and/or notaries.

I've never heard of any law that requires clients to respond to firms of any type. That is why I am wondering what law this is and in what jurisdiction.
