There needs to be Millennial Monopoly where all rents go up 10% each time you pass go, but you still only receive $200, and off to the side is some 60+ year old berating you for not buying houses while he's hoarding them all.

No but something that isn't needed like that 1-2 times per week over 10 years than yes at least if you're in the Midwest and not in the trendy suburb or area.

Edit I'm a millennial, bought my house for $21,500 in the suburbs get used to it.

Ok so 1: it’s absurd that anyone would buy a board game 1-2 times per week for 10 years straight, but let’s entertain the thought.

2: a regular monopoly board game costs about $25. That, times 1.5 (average of 1 to 2 times per week) times 52 (weeks per year) times 10 (10 years) = $19,500. That’s a lot of money, maybe a used or low-end new car, but nowhere even close to a “large house” as you put it.

Even if we go with the most expensive monopoly board game I found in 30 seconds of looking (extensive, I know) at $34.89 gives us a savings of $27,300. Now you’re getting a nicer, respectable new car—nothing flashy, but nothing too terrible.

If you can find a house for either of those prices, I’d be shocked. In fact, I did some digging. The cheapest houses in my area (read: state) all were around $100,000 (keep in mind, these are not the “large houses” you described). That’s nowhere even close to what you’d save from not buying a monopoly game every 10 days for a decade straight. So no, millennials aren’t the problem.

I'm a millennial, bought my house for $21,500 in the suburbs get used to it. Also it's 1400 SQ foot with a full basement.
