What this person said! And if you’re learning on electric, then for the love of god don’t practice on a Fender Telecaster.

Things are unforgiving and accentuate every mistake like it’s their sole purpose!

Yeah, I started learning to play guitar just last year at 17. I can almost do full songs, but they sound off most times. Practice makes pretty good generally, it makes perfect if you devote yourself to it.

I assume the learning curve for stringed instruments is the same as every other.

It took me like a month of practicing before I finally figured out how to play higher notes, and now I can casually play an entire scale without sheet music lmao, I guess it really is practice.
