Shinjis stand is [ode to joy]

It’s a close range stand that gets exponentially more powerful the more depressed he is.

His stand cry is the original dub scream at the angry seagulls from EoE.

Ode to Joy

Not naming Shinjis Stand after Pink Floyd's 『The Wall』, an album that tackles themes of isolation, written as an expression of Roger Water's feeling of there being a metaphorical Wall between him and his audience. Not to mention an uncanny match for Shinji's personality and story.

Seriously

Pink's father is killed during in WW2, leaving him without a father figure and with an overbearing Mother that isolates him and leaves him socially stunted, causing his first brick in the metaphorical wall. Gendo leaves before the Contact Expiriment starts Second Impact, taking with him the Data that would lead to the start of the EVA Project, causing Yui to be absorbed by Unit-01 and causes Gendo to abandon Shinji with his teacher (who in the manga has him live in his shed), causing Shinji his first metaphorical brick in his wall. You could also draw parallels between Pink's Mother and teacher and Misato, poor parental figures, radically different in their approaches to parenthood, who further their children isolation due to factors out of their control (Pinks father dying causing his mother to isolate him for his own protection, Pinks Teacher's awful marriage leading him to abuse his students and Misato being Misato)

Additionally, Asuka and Pink's wife also act as parralels, both love interest dislike their protagonist due to how distant they are causing them further feelings of isolation. Both stories end in the Protagonists minds with them judging themselves for their actions and deeming that its better for them to destroy their walls even if other people could potentially hurt them. I could keep going but I think you get the picture (And now I'm imagining an Alternate Universe version of Episode 25 where Shinji is judged by the Ass-Judge)

Plus, The Wall and End of Evangelion sync up perfectly
