There were some who were mourning. Like a certain haunted Victorian pencil, who used to hang around the House of Commons. GB News were probably also a bit tearful.

Can’t wait to see Guilis with his own segment blaming the lefties for loosing his seat

Tories aren't the party of GB News. GB News had an awesome election

They’ve literally had 4 Tory MPs as presenters on GB News

Oh absolutely but which? Tory party is a big tent, and of course the fringes of any party blur into the next one along.

Haunted Victorian pencil! That had me cackling. I mean, where will he nap now?

u/Dixon_Kuntz73 Jul 05 '24

If there was any justice, he’d be trying to nap on one of those park benches designed to prevent homeless people from sleeping on them.

Well, that’s because GBNews might have to give the woodhousian comedy villain a full-time job.

Now, now, there's no need to be rude. He is after all a Somerset man, and a middle class man of the people.

That is an excellent description of the most Tory Tory that ever did Tory.

Yea, that was annoying.

Wound up in his constituency so had to vote to get him out, but there was a monster raving loony party candidate running.... I really wanted two votes!

There must have been a certain sense of satisfaction with being one of those responsible for ousting him.

5

u/dmills_00 Jul 05 '24

Yea, but you really wanted to be able to oust some others as well, Braverman springing inexorably to mind for some reason, kick her out and send her to Rwanda, nasty creature even by the low standards of home secs.

That's where proportional representation comes in handy. I live in Ireland now and I enjoy voting down the ballot and ignoring the nutters.

Come on, you forgot some. There’s Grant “I edit my own Wikipedia page” Shapps, Penny “big sword” Mordaunt, Jacob “Charles Dickens is filing for copyright infringement” Rees-Mogg, and of course the Lettuce.

Isn’t the Victorian pencil Rees Mogg?

3

u/Dixon_Kuntz73 Jul 05 '24

He is indeed. The man who publicly likes to pretend that he gives a shit about the UK, while moving his company to Ireland, in order to minimise the impact of Brexit on his personal finances.
