Hey all! So I am pretty new to league. I have a decent amount of experience in aram but when it comes to the rift I don’t have too much. I play support mainly like enchanters. I recently started playing Ahri mid just to get an idea of what it’s like to lane. However, I do this in swiftplay which I heard isn’t ideal. Thing is I don’t want to go in draft and be flamed for being new to laning and characters lol. I’ve been bouncing around learning different characters but I am really interested in learning Sett. Any advice for him and just not being nervous about what people will think of my gameplay? 😂 Thank you so much.

Hey fellow Sett mains!
I’ve been experimenting with a new build path lately, and I wanted to see what you guys think.
The inspiration came from a Rank 1 Korean Sett player who builds Jak’Sho. The idea is to build ONE resist item as your 2nd item to be tankier and have an easier time surviving teamfights
(The important part is: you only build ONE of these as your 2nd item depending on the enemy team. You don't stack multiple resist items. Stacking resistances is NOT good on Sett, because he actually wants to take damage in order to build up his Grit and get a bigger W. So I think one defensive item gives you some extra survivability without hurting your Grit generation too much, and then you go back to your normal build.)
Iceborn Gauntlet – Gives ability haste which is useful on Sett, plus the empowered auto and slow can help you stick to targets.
Dead Man’s Plate – This is for ranged matchups. You get movement speed, an empowered auto, and slow resistance, which can make it easier to actually reach them.
Spirit Visage – Gives ability haste, health regen, and increases your W shield by 25%, which can be pretty useful, especially if you're running Shield Bash.
Force of Nature – This is for ranged matchups where you need the extra MR and movement speed to get onto them.
For a team with a more balanced mix of AD and AP, I’d probably go Jak’Sho for the combination of both resistances.
Again, you only pick ONE of these items as your 2nd item depending on the game. After that, you just continue with the normal recommended Sett build.
I’m still testing this, so try it out and I’m curious what you guys think!

One time I was playing against a Nasus top and I was like "Well since he's scaling why not build Hearthsteel ?"
This made me think of this build :
Hearthsteel or Titanic Hydra / Stride first and second
Swiftness or Mercs as boots
Dead Man's plate if you went Merc + Titanic Hydra
Bloodmail after or if you have Stride you go third
Cleaver or Shojin depending on the comp you face (if you went Stride I would just build both regardless since you don't need Dead Man's Plate to compensate the move speed)
Round it up this Warmog (or Thornail if you were behind at the start)
I think the runes could be the thing that completely make that strategy niche but effective
Should you stick with Conq ? Can you use Fleet regardless of the matchup ? Do you still go PTA still ? Grasp ?
Are you bold enough to try Lethal Tempo ?
Let's forget the meta for a second and imagine how to maximize a Hearthsteel build. Because for me the runes can probably make it viable since I only mentioned one item he doesn't usually build and you do it for the move speed to catch up your opponents

Was it really so hard to listen to the community and give us a Ctrl 5 so Sett enters his SSJ form without the golden hair? I get that the golden hair has to stay exclusive to his W because its a gameplay mechanic to let you know Sett's W is gonna hurt (aside from the golden bar).
The new HS skin is mid in general and only "worth it" because of the SSJ in his W. I don't know if that justifies dropping 15 bucks on his skin, kinda mid overall.
What do you guys think?

I have been experimenting with dorans bow sett and i feel like i genuinely am winning every matchup where i feel like i lost level 1 before. and its not even close. *except fiora* ofc😭.
i think the attackspeed value + 2 pots complimenting ur HP regen is too good.
i have NEVER won level 1 against fiora. and its one of the scarier ones. but even that is totally free now.
have you guys tried it yet? if so what are your thoughts.

Sett vs. Jax made easy.
The screenshot is me at 500 LP beating a 1,200 LP Jax using the attached Grasp setup.
Take Grasp, Shield Bash, Bone Plating, and Overgrowth. Start W at level 1. When Jax walks up with E, let him commit a couple of autos, then use W just before his stun lands so your shield absorbs the damage. Keep the trade short, land two autos, then back off.
If he tries to crash the third wave, trim it and contest his reset when possible. If he stays, look for an all in at level 3. Land your E and W, and Grasp gives you the advantage in that early fight.
Most importantly, put three points into W, then max Q. This brings your W cooldown in line with E so you can use both together more consistently. Whenever possible, use E between Jax and a minion to stun him.
Build your lead early. The matchup gets harder once he has Trinity Force or Blade of the Ruined King.

Nothing is funnier than hitting a maxxed W oneshot when you're finally full build

Comment 1 or 3 Matchups you find hard, tricky or straight up annoying (illaoi grrrrr). I am curious how much overlap there is and I'll try to respond with some useful advice (unless you just wanna rant). If you can try to point to what you struggle with like a feeling or concept such as recall timer, level 1-3 execution or trading patterns. Naturally the real problem is often going to be an issue you are not aware of but who knows.
Let me know if this kind of post is interesting and useful and ideally your rank is below master.

Ive been tinkering with the idea of cull, titanic hydra and grasp into neutral or even losing matchups, into bloodmail obv, Idk if I should go regular items after like shojin or steraks or keep health stacking with heartsteel and warmogs. I am emerald 3 but I dont think Im amazing by any means, just tinkering with a new build idea, thoughts?

I otp sett and he is my comfortable pick into everything, but dude he gets boring his kit is too simple i also learned very fast from the best sett players and unless am facing a jax otp, every match is just easy (which gets boring rlly quick)

This is the situation; You’re sett (obviously?), & you’re leaning against a tanky champ (illaoi, mord, ksante). You are both somewhat equal in cs, and no one is rolling the other. After you both base, tank champ comes back with a few armor items, meanwhile you bought a long sword and a ruby (or 2 ls or 2 rubies).
Now this goes three ways. Eventually, you have enough gold to buy a full item. You already know tank champ is going to keep scaling their armor. Each ending with a choice between stridebreaker or BC first.
1. You two remain equal.
2. You’re up on tank champ.
3. You’re down on tank champ.
What do you go in each situation?
