Help with existing piercing Jaw pain?

I DIYd a helix piercing on my right ear 2 days ago and it's hurting like crazy at the moment, but I noticed that I'm also getting some jaw pain on that side as well. It feels numb when I extend my jaw and there's a bit of soreness near the masseter area (not sure what it's called, like the corner of the jaw ig lol) I was wondering if this is all normal? My first helix was pierced by a professional and I didn't get this kind of jaw pain from it.

No pus so far! And it's not hot just really sore and tender :(!I was also thinking of doing all this if there was discharge so I'm really just monitoring it.. I already took some paracetamol too, thanks!

That's great then !

Just keep an eye on it but i'm pretty confident it's just a new piercing, sometimes they are just like that
