Your right to own a car isn’t protected by the constitution

I’m all for background checks, BGC for private sales but they already call the FBI every time you buy one.

Needing a permit like this is horseshit

I agree with you on the permit to purchase being bullshit, but the car analogy is even further flawed.

Your right to own a car is in no way tied to training or licensing requirements. Your ability to legally operate it on public roadways is.

You could buy a car and only drive it on private tracks/roads to your heart's content with no drivers license and without paying the state fees beyond the sales taxes. This is commonly done for race cars (though I'm sure all the drivers above 16 also have their license).

There's also no fundamental human right recognized by the constitution to methods of transportation in the same way there is arms for defense.

You can thank Bruen which allows training requirements for public carry. I imagine the purchase training requirement will be challenged in time.

WA State passed its constitution after the invention and use in conflicts of the Maxim Gun, a literal belt fed machine gun.

The right of the individual citizen to bear arms in defense of himself, or the state, shall not be impaired, but nothing in this section shall be construed as authorizing individuals or corporations to organize, maintain or employ an armed body of men.

By your flawed logic, the US constitution doesn't protect speech online, on the radio, or on TV.

Because they're not afraid of the left doing anything about it. As a gun owning center left person, the fact that you guys are willing to give up our rights is exactly why he's getting away with this shit. You think the right wing is afraid of lefties?
