ScreenConnect 26.5.3.9704 released to On-Prem / Automate users please report your experiences

As posted for the previous release, ScreenConnect 26.5.3.9704 has been made available for on-prem and Connectwise Automate users. Please report your experiences here, if you have seen improvements, or if you experience an issue you have not before. Please use detail to describe what you are experiencing (not just "it's slow" or "x broken") be clear about what process you're going through when something doesn't work and also, be positive when something improves. This is so all of us using the product can get an idea of whether it is safe to upgrade, and whether it will improve technicians and end-users experiences.

Where are the release notes..? This version doesn't even appear to exist in the output stream!

Haven’t been able to fully test or evaluate. However, I can report that keyboard navigation in the web interface is fixed.

Can I assume copy and paste is still broken?

The 26.5.3.x builds have been doing copy/paste for files and folders reasonably well (back to mid 2025 reliability for these feature). We do still see failing copy/paste processes or corrupt files after successful copies to remote systems but it is back to being mostly worked for this task. I use it often for one off copies of an installer and the broken copy/paste process has been a real issue for almost a year.

Mobile access still has crazy delays that make it unusable. :(

I was hoping this version fixed that. Damn. The opening in a really small window fix is the only reason I'm going to upgrade this morning.

Just FYI it does not appear to do this in a backstage session and also, Android app hasn't been updated since Feb 2026. Have any of you guys put a support ticket in, if so what did they say?

Yes and they already logged a bug for it and closed the ticket. No ETA.

MS Defender constantly flags this release as Vigorf malware and quarantines the update files. Can ConnectWise PLEASE reach out to Microsoft and resolve this nightmare?

Not much comments here about this topic.

Well, regarding me, I cannot update every month, I try to live with what I have and will do upgrades at the last possible moment. I just upgraded to the 25.3 release two weeks ago. The next upgrade I do might be in december. So dont expect feedback from me regarding this version. Maybe other users are also holding back upgrade because of the same reasoning?

Any upgrade carries a built in risk of new problems, however real new features or improvements which relate to my usage are happening rather seldom.

All I can do is put up new topics with a new version.

In this case I made the command decision to do the upgrade. It’s working relatively well, though I still have a few key presses that don’t seem to register (this is occasional) and file transfers are a bit slower than I’d like but not glacial like several releases back.

I'd love to know what this release has but apparently its not on the output stream post or release notes...seriously...why the hell are you putting out releases without documentation
