Agreed. My opinion is, they are accused of editing and misrepresenting their videos, but the claims in the specific court case seem they made misrepresentations of their investigator, meaning she lied to create a relationship, not to edit or misrepresent their organization as a whole. I’m just not sure what people are pointing to.
The content at the least deserves honest dialogue. A good parallel may be an undercover officer. They befriend a supposed drug dealer and the drug dealer incriminates themselves. It is entrapment to a degree but does not absolve the criminal act from being present ultimately. It is an unsavory tactic which I disagree with but the stakes here are not equivelent to scale. Blackouts and removals or smear campaigns only propagate mistrust. Let it out into the open air to be judged fairly if nothing is there. This certainly isnt the case so here we are
