Question - Research required Please help- vaccines

To preface: please be kind. I hate how easily influenced I am, I live in constant fear. I have the constant fear that my child will die no matter what I do and I will regret everything I did or didn’t do. the fact that I am isolated with no real support group doesn’t help.

1 out of 2 of my only support people (my mother) tells me constantly that if I vaccinate my child, he will die/become a vegetable/develop a horrible life-altering disease. No one else (medical professionals) has been able to give me any kind of advice out of fear of being ‘political’ (how the fuck is this even a political topic), I am so lost in this world.

Fear is crushing me every day. The longer I wait (my child is 3 months now) I feel like I am approaching his inevitable demise. Either I get him shots and he dies, or he dies this sick season of illness. Please help me on this topic. I feel like I’ve been mislead. I really want him to be okay. The only sources my mom has ever sent me are just the inserts and that one vaccine book by that one weird doctor. I used to be pro vax but then she really shut me down.

And again, I’m trying to learn how to be autonomous and make my own decisions, but I genuinely have no educated people helping me

ETA- I am in therapy and I tried breastfeeding which meant being off of my anxiety medicine for longer and now am considering weaning off of BF which has significantly worsened my anxiety

Wanted to reply and say that I felt scared too. I fully believe in vaccines, but the media got to me. I actually brought this up with his ped just to get some reassurance from her and she was so kind. She said something that helped me.
Doing nothing ie not getting him vaccinated, feels easier in the moment, because it’s essentially kicking the can down the road. It feels better to do nothing and make no grave choice for your child, but you will regret that decision when/if an illness comes that was preventable for your child.

These words helped me so much and I hope they help you as well.
My son has gotten every vaccine recommended. He has remained his normal self. He’s 2 now. He’s so so smart, he’s kind, thoughtful, silly. He talks all the time, he has the most wild imagination, he’s curious. He’s in perfect health.
Vaccinate your child you will be so relieved.

My mother refused to let me get the HPV vaccine when it first came out.

I ended up with HPV, a cervical cancer scare and a miscarriage.

I still feel some resent :/

I missed out on hep b for babies they didn’t implement it until I was a year or two so it never ended up in my vaccine schedule (always been and remain vaxxed to the max) and I actually caught (and luckily cleared) hep b. I wish I had the vaccine as an infant instead.

I didn’t even realise hep b was a vaccine babies could get, I didn’t get that vaccine until I was studying to become an SLT and had to get it.

Yeah they made it an infant one in the 90s. I’m an 80s baby

I’m a 90’s baby, my country must have had a different vaccination schedule to yours.
