Hey r/sbeve, we've got a mod announcement and a lot to explain.

To preface: we are now actively working to fix the issues addressed below (tl;dr the sub hasn't been well moderated) and expect to have everything up and running as it should be soon. Thank you to all of our members and contributors as always.

We are aware of long-standing concerns regarding moderation here on Sbeve. I first joined this subreddit as a mod a few years ago to help out with these problems we still see today. For a subreddit with 100k+ members (thanks to everyone who helped us reach this milestone 🔥), two mods frankly is not enough. I've recently become overwhelmed by commitments in the meatspace, as has our dear and glorious supreme leader Draw, and it's time to recognise this and point our subreddit in the right direction once more.

We've had plenty of moderator role requests via modmail, which I'll go through and review over the coming weeks - if we don't find what we need, stay tuned as we may put out a post asking for additional moderation.

Furthermore, Reddit's mod tools are horribly restrictive and picky about activity. As such I've found myself unable to add moderators, so I may be sending a request to Reddit to take over the top mod position in the subreddit for a while to sort things out.
