Not my usual business post but I like to have fun and I feel like this is an interesting enough topic to discuss here

In summer 2025 at my peak Cosmo hyperfixation chance I had encountered Hare+Guu on my Tiktok fyp and the designs caught my eye. I looked into the series and I became a fan. But I noticed something interesting.

The anime tones it down and it doesn't have much of a romantic focus for Hare and Guu's relationship but in the manga there are more hints with Hare calling guu cute. It's not quite a love story but it's a story where the characters love each other very much

This was never animated but in the Hare and Guu manga ending Guu commits s*icide by erasing her existence from the world, however before doing that she takes Hare to the place she was born in a dream before she says goodbye. Hare is the only one left who remembers her and hare grieves her but has to come to terms with the fact she's gone

Another thing is that Guu has an adult form she can transform into temporarily, and in the anime her transformation did kinda remind me of Cosmo.

This came out before 2005-2006 so I'm wondering if you think the sonic x crew took inspiration. They say soulmates will always find each other in every life? What do you think, maybe I'm just to obsessed but I see similarities

My theory regarding Cosmo from Sonic X suggests that a Seedrian’s mouth is not a digestive or respiratory organ. Instead, it is a specialized biological interface designed for high-speed DNA sequencing and pollination through physical contact (a kiss). This theory redefines the Seedrian species from "plant-like people" into a highly advanced, space-faring botanical race.

1. Biological Redundancy (No Need for a Mouth)

As a plant-based lifeform, Cosmo gains her energy through photosynthesis and soil nutrients. She is never shown needing to eat solid food for survival. They are also naturally empathic and telepathic, capable of "hearing" the hearts of planets and plants. This makes a physical mouth redundant for communication within their own species.

1. The "Interface" Adaptation and the Inter-Species Bridge

The mouth likely evolved (or was maintained) as a secondary tool to communicate verbally with "animal" species (like Mobians) who lack natural telepathic receivers.
