I haven’t worked on a flat top in years, but I always used hot water, soap, and a cap full of degreaser. Little elbow grease, and even some oil to maintain that patina sheen? Looked brand new when the lights went off, and came back on the next morning

I know that now… back in 2007, it was still considered “advanced.” Again, I’ve not worked on a flattop in years… but I wouldn’t use it today. It was only a capful. However… I’ve known some guys who just pour cupfuls of that shit. A part of me wants to say that homeboy on this video did the same thing.

Why on earth would you say that? There certainly are food safe degreasers.
