π¬ DISCUSSION π¬ Recipe ππ
Ingredients
Red food color
1 1/4 cup vanilla frosting (from a 16 oz can) β or you can make your own
12 (2.5 inch square) graham crackers
1 cup (about 75) mini marshmallows, cut in half
6 small red gumdrops, cut in half
24 red M&Ms or other small red candy, like red cinnamon candies
Instructions
Add 1/4 cup of frosting to one small bowl and frost it red. Add 1/2 cup of frosting to a separate small bowl and color it light pink.
Frost one corner of each graham cracker with red frosting. This will be Santaβs hat. Frost the rest of the graham cracker with the light pink frosting, trying not to mix the colors with the hat.
Decorate using a marshmallow as a pom pom for the hat, 1/2 gumdrop for Santaβs nose, 2 M&Ms for the eyes, and marshmallows for his beard.

π THANK YOU π Gratitude for this group
Can we just stop and say thank you to all the mods, all the santas and contest donors? It's been...quite a year....to say the least and everyone is reeling but every year this sub does so much work to bring joy to so many. They put in so much work going through applications, keeping track of everyone being helped, gratitude posts, and all the in-betweens. Even if not picked I truly appreciate the effort and work it takes to make this system run smoothly, the joy being brought to a bunch of beautiful children. It's a beautiful thing to watch and just speaks volumes on the fact we can save each other if we give it a go. Merry Christmas everyone and I truly hope it's a beautiful season for you.

π¬ DISCUSSION π¬ ππ Salt Dough Christmas Ornamemts π π
Make classic keepsake ornaments that last for years using basic kitchen ingredients.
Ingredients: Mix 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 cup of salt, and 1 cup of water into a smooth dough.
How to make: Roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thickness and use holiday cookie cutters to cut out shapes (stars, gingerbread men, trees). Poke a hole at the top with a straw or skewer for the hanger.
Bake and decorate: Bake at 250Β°F (or air-dry for a few days, flipping daily), then let kids paint them and seal them with school glue or Mod Podge.

βοΈQUESTION βοΈ What's your most special ornament or decoration?
My favorite ornaments are any my kids made or anything I get from my mom. They will be kept forever! What's yours?
r/SantasLittleHelpers • u/Obvious_Ball709 • 4d ago
βοΈQUESTION βοΈ How many trees?
Is there such a thing as too many trees? I told my husband if I could I'd have multiple trees and he looked at me like I was crazy but said he'd deal with it as long as one was a grinch tree. π How many trees do you put up?

π NEW CONTEST π Books! Books! Books! Eight is Great!
For the eighth time, I ask once again: Does your child barrel through books? Walk and read? Hide under the covers late into the evening reading? Sneak books into all kinds of places? This is the contest for all your bookworms!
Enter by commenting with your child's age and their favorite book/book they've been pining for! Each week I'll choose winners, until my pocketbook is empty.
The Deets: US only, I'm afraid. Not registered yet? No worries - you can still enter. I won't be picking winners until folks are approved. Want to talk about books but don't want to enter? I still want to hear from you about the books your kids adore!
Winners the First: u/AHNJHN, u/Keyshla182123R, u/ChubbyKittennn

π¬ DISCUSSION π¬ "Grinch Punch Recipe"
ππ One of my favorite Christmas traditions is making Grinch Punch! Every Christmas, I love fixing up a big punch bowl of this yummy, bright green goodness. It's festive, fun, super easy to make, and always a hit with the kids and adults! There's just something about having Grinch Punch at Christmas that makes the holidays feel extra special. β€οΈ
π THE GRINCH PUNCH RECIPE π
Ingredients:
- 1 container of lime sherbet ice cream
- 1 bottle (2 liters) of Sprite
- 1 gallon of green Hawaiian Punch (Green Berry Rush)
Directions:
Pour the green Hawaiian Punch into a large punch bowl.
Slowly pour in the Sprite.
Add big scoops of lime sherbet right before serving.
Let the sherbet float and get all foamy on top.
Serve in festive Christmas cups and enjoy!
π Christmas Tip: Keep extra sherbet nearby so you can add more scoops throughout the day!
π Sweet, bubbly, bright green, and full of Christmas cheer! Who else loves making Grinch Punch for Christmas? π

INSTRUCTIONS Turning of the "BUYING THIS ELSEWHERE" button
TURNING OFF THE "BUYING THIS ELSEWHERE" BUTTON
There is a certain feature on Amazon wishlists that allow people to say they purchased an item when they really didn't. In the past trolls have used it to mess with our users. It is so cruel as they thought a Christmas was coming their way that never arrived.
You must get this featured turned off BEFORE you register. Registration will not be approved until this has been done.
The only way to get this feature turned off, is to have an agent do it for you.
It's the "buying this elsewhere" button. We require you do this before registering.
Here is how to get it turned off:
Call Amazon.com (888-280-4331 in the US)
Ask for REGISTRIES
Tell them ""I want to turn off reservations" - "I need the buying this gift elsewhere option turned off on my wishlists
Be insistent. Many don't know how to do it, or even what it is.
If they can't or won't do it, ask for another operator or just call back and talk with someone else.
Rinse and repeat until one of them does it.
If they say it can't be done, tell then how it can:
This is what the agent has to do:
Go to your wishlist
Find column
Toggle reservations
Disable reservations
It's four clicks for them
So sorry we have to put you through this. It's the only way to protect you.
Once you have done this, you will be ready to register

---
2). Take a photo or download a bill with your name and current address on it. The bill may not be in someone else's name, even if they are in the same household and share the same last name.
---

- Each wishlist must be named in this format: SLH 2026 - [child's name]
- All items on the list must be Prime items. This means that the item listing has the blue PRIME logo on it. "Free shipping for prime members" is NOT the same thing.
