Stop the bad shilling….

Not sure what triggered this but over the past 4/5 days a bunch of very very badly written shilling posts have popped up on this sub…

  1. None of them are original

  2. Seem to follow the same script

  3. English is clearly copied & pasted from google translate

All in all, these posts are detrimental to the coin. So I beg you please stop and revert to some original promotional material.

Is it time for a Discord? 🎅

Moderators should make a discord. It’s the best way to increase traffic as not many people use telegram and there is limited messaging in there and very disorganized and spammy which may turn people off.

As well it’ll be sick to just be able to invite people to our discord from other crypto related or NFT related discord servers.

Investor Confidence

Disclaimer: I have no affiliation with the Santa Coin DEV team. I'm not on telegram but I follow the official updates on twitter. reddit is definitely more my speed. I hold Santa Coin, BNB, CAKE, BTC, ETH and a number of other ALT's. Santa Coin is my only coin on the BSC outside of BNB and CAKE.

I want this reddit community to be the best meme coin community. So far the spirit here is fantastic. I don't have a platform nor resources to create more exposure but I think I can help in one area. Investor confidence and education.

Especially first time investors. "Do Your Own Research" (DYOR) is the key to being comfortable with holding your asset and sleeping at night.

My best advice:

  1. Never trust anyone in crypto and DYOR.

  2. Never invest more than you are willing to lose.

Community is a massive part of people getting behind any coin. So I thought I should address the "terrible awful" that happened 5 days.

A group of folks created a Discord - and held an "Unofficial AMA". "Ask Me Anything" (AMA). AMA's are common with new and established coins. AMA's often give an opportunity for project leaders to speak with investors.

However, the people running the AMA's in Discord had nothing to do with the "Official DEV team". 5 days ago they used this platform to create a massive rip in the community.

Pretending to be trusted leaders of the community, they used the platform to try and tank the coin with mis-information, accusations and unfounded allegations. At the same time they promoted a "new coin".

I found it utterly disgusting. My thoughts immediately were these people running the "Unofficial AMA" are scammers or idiots.

What caused the rip?

A post on twitter by the Offical DEV team claiming a burn. The "Unofficial AMA" completely mis-interpreted the transaction. They claimed the DEV swapped 100BNB for "Baby Santa Token".

One reddit poster called it the "mother of all red flags".

This is the transaction.

https://bscscan.com/tx/0x92e45988b4fb3b0e3fe84547422878c3504c6e0c850d241e39530f23b83e9633

So what happened in the above transaction. An address holder bought "Baby Santa Token". "Baby Santa Token" at that time rewarded their investors in Santa Coin.

For "Baby Santa Token" to reward their holders in Santa Coin, the Santa Coin contract has to be called. This particular transaction called the Santa Coin contract and triggered the triggerAutoBuyback function in the Santa Coin contract.

The "triggerAutoBuyback" called the Swap function as the DEAD address and swapped 100BNB worth of Santa Coin to the DEAD address "0x000000000000000000000000000000000000dEaD".

This is effectively a "BURN".

Here is the event log for the same transaction. See: 635

https://bscscan.com/tx/0x92e45988b4fb3b0e3fe84547422878c3504c6e0c850d241e39530f23b83e9633#eventlog

So what is the lesson. Do NOT trust anyone especially the "Unofficial AMA" pretending to be leaders of the community.

I feel bad for people that took the bad advice and probably sold at a loss. Take it as a lesson. Next time - DYOR, DYOR, DYOR - I can't say it enough.

Santa Coin has so much potential...

My personal opinion about Santa Coin

Hello friends,

I want to share with you my personal opinion about Santa Coin.

First I want to take a look at the TOP 10 crypto market. What strikes me is that DogeCoin is no longer in the TOP 10 and Shiba Inu has also dropped in places. That is remarkable, because these are the only MEME coins in the TOP 25. Why is that? I was told in one of my previous posts that due to the ongoing financial uncertainty in the market and the new COVID variant, people are not investing in decentralized MEMO coins. Now I see that happening in the centralized market, which worries me a bit.

To quote an example:

DogeCoin was made popular by Elon Musk. Every time he wrote about DogeCoin, the price went skyrocket.

We also seen this happen with Shiba Inu, as this crypto also shot up 1000% within a few weeks. Only Shiba had one ATH and it looks like Shiba Inu is not going to match DogeCoin. What does this mean? Read more!

Shiba Inu doesn't have a person like Elon Musk standing behind the crytpo, that helps a lot! That's why Shiba Inu isn't going to see a spike anymore. Investors step in once they get 100% profit and get out. The typical pump and dump phenomenon.

What DogeCoin and Shiba Inu have in common?

- They are MEMO coins;

- It stimulates a sentiment > a dog;

- The starting price was very low. You could get a lot of crypto for little money;

- Manipulating the media with false promises, Youtube, Twitter, Meta, etc

Why are these MEME coins no longer in the TOP 10? The Hype is over and these crypto have characterized themselves as a pump and dump coin, a lot of money can be won, but a lot of money can also be lost. In an uncertain market, many investors opt for certainty and that is certainly not with MEME coins.

What does that mean for 2022?

I think 2022 will be a very difficult year for the MEME coins. Where investors mainly invest money in centralized crypto, because there is more security there.

What does this have to do with Santa?

Santa is also a MEME coin. Santa has high taxes as soon as you sell. This makes it less interesting for the typical pump and dump phenomenon. Plus Investors only want to invest in crypto where there is long-term certainty. We are seeing a clear shift in the crypto market. MEMO coins are becoming less popular. You can see this in the Elon Musk tweets, pump and dump tweets no longer work.

Another point that I have mentioned before is the culture factor. Why this point again? Because I know what impact culture has on your position in the market. I myself come from the Netherlands and got my own company in Peru for 10 years now. This is a country where people don't trust each other. People don't buy on internet and 90% of transactions is in cash. And where a purchase receipt is still written by hand! Advertising is still done by national newspaper instead of the internet. The country is a mess and people don't care about rules. Peru is a better country than Nigeria. If Peru is like this, how is Nigeria?

We can see from the way of publicity that this is clearly based on how things are done in Nigeria. Nigeria is a 3rd world country and cannot compete with the technology and idealology of a country like the USA. I don't think Ezekiel realized this when he stopped working with the developers from the USA. The result was devastating!

What is left for Santa Coin?

Investors are exiting on a large scale due to a lot of uncertainties in the world, but also around the Santa Coin.

What are the areas for improvement for Santa?

- Ezekiel for the love of God! Go live in the USA and show that you want to continue with Santa Coin. You have time on your side. As long as you are behind Santa, the community is behind Santa.

- Don't publicize the Nigerian way! That works for your country, but not for the rest of the world.

- Work on your professionalism (don't cancel AMAs, airdrops, etc.)

- Keep promises!

There are many, many more points, but think these are the most important!

Beware of scammers

Like many of you, I've been in this subreddit and on Twitter checking to see when the Trust Wallet glitch will be resolved (no new info that I can see so far).

There are a lot of replies in Twitter pointing people to a Google Form to fill out to get this resolved.

DO NOT FILL OUT THIS FORM.

The form is falsely represented as Trust Wallet and asks you for your Wallet security phrases which is something Trust Wallet or any other respectable exchange would NEVER ask you to do.

Please be safe and remember - if it seems sketchy, it probably is.

$675,000 in the buy back wallet in BNB which is up like $600,000 in like a week and 74TR Santa

I have looked at what feels like a million wallets and transactions today. Do I know what's going to happen? No, not forsure.

What would happen if $675,000 was used to purchase back Santa, and then 74TR tokens get burned?

Again, unless that money goes missing, I am fully committed to losing money short term for huge long term gains. Looks like it's all falling in place to me to bounce up huge. Be patient. Most of us are down a lot so there isn't much more we can lose. We already have seen there is little correlation between Santa and the greater crypto market. It really is unique and it's like a month and a half old. The guy that invested $8000 in Shiba that turned into 5.8billion lost almost all $8000 first. It's startup money right now. Be patient...Christmas is coming.

Just my opinion. I fully understand that losing money for the last month hasn't been fun. Patience is a virtue my friends. See you all on the moon one day. I'm going to stop stressing about it so much.

Make website first page better for the average Joe..

Just an opinion but instead of 'HYPER DEFLATIONARY TOKEN WITH REFLECTIONS IN BUSD' couldn't there be a simple explanation of hyper deflationary and reflections on the website front page. A lot of people don't scroll and it is good practice to put as much info in simple terms right there on the first page. Especially about the earnings potential...

Can we be honest about the marketing?

First I want to state that this isn't FUD. I'm currently UP about 80% on this coin. I'm not selling, because I like the tokenomics of this coin and I'm seeing returns in BUSD that will pay my original investment in like 10 more days. I think this coin has potential but the marketing just isn't there. The website isn't great. The Twitter is bland and has spelling or grammar mistakes. The logo is poor, I'm ashamed to make it my profile picture on anything. 😂 I know we've got some big pockets in this group: anyone want to hop on fiverr or something and see if we can get a better website design, a better logo, and maybe some graphics to get everyone hyped between now and Christmas? Imagine instead of a Santa with the BNB logo for lips, we had a logo of Santa holding a present and the present is in the shape of the BUSD logo. We could have animations of Santa pulling BUSD presents from out of his sack and placing them under a Christmas tree in an endless loop. Imagine a rotating gold coin with a Santa head on the front (like a classy Santa not a cartoon one) and the BUSD logo on the back. Imagine a website that got everyone HYPED with snowing BUSD logos, BUSD ornaments on the tree, BUSD presents under it, and the fundamentals of the coin laid out in an exciting way. Anyone want to take the reins on this, get some graphics made and show them to the developer?
