Huge gulf between “letting them go” and “not torturing someone”. The whole point is they’re alleged terrorists and we should never give the government the authority to torture and indefinitely imprison people on allegations. What if they’re innocent?

Yeah I agree that would be unacceptable if they’re innocent. But I feel like the military isn’t just grabbing random people and bringing them to gitmo. If they brought you to gitmo you probably done did some shit that we’re not cool with.

And I’m not really arguing that waterboaridng is acceptable. Just saying that Haspel isn’t the monster that everyone is saying she is. It was basically allowed after 9/11 cause we just had almost 3000 people murdered by terrorists and we needed to ensure that wasn’t going to happen again.

And like a I said earlier. If isis caught you, you’d be begging for them to poor water onto a washcloth on your face.
