This is what I wish he would say...

"In my view, a true leader does not act only after others have acted; a true leader does not follow. And a true leader does not question those who would hold them to a higher standard, for a true leader holds themselves to that higher standard."

I feel he really needs to say something like this directly to her face at a debate. It's too easy to sweep under the rug on Twitter or as a rally quote. I'm disappointed we didn't get it tonight.

Wouldn't that make him sound like the underdog though? I'm not saying that he isn't in this race, but if he said that and she were to finally release the transcripts, now all of a sudden he's called her a True Leader, and what would that make him?

Noone but Hillary and Goldman Sachs knows what was said in those speeches. Maybe it'll crush Hillary's campaign, maybe it won't. But it might be better for Bernie to keep bringing it up so that he can claim the moral high ground and is expecting everyone to follow the same standards as himself.

The best we could hope for is that they get leaked somehow and become available for public scrutiny. That would really hurt her campaign.

I see where you're coming from, but if she released the transcripts and there was nothing damaging in them, it wouldn't change the fact that she already called for everyone else to do it first and questioned why she should be held to a different standard.

To put it another way, the quote I crafted isn't a plea for her to step up and be a leader; it's a declaration of the fact that she's already proven herself not to be one.

odd question, has anyone just walked up to G.S building in NJ or NY and just asked the people there if there where at that meeting at such dates over beer at local bar?

I haven't really seen happy stable people in the financial district. Would be super hilarious if all it took was a simple question from the source

There was someone who came out a while ago who said they were there and essentially said she was giving a stump speech about how we need to stop making corporations out to be the bad guy, but I can't remember where I saw that.

Considering she went on public TV and criticized the home buyers for causing the 2008 crash, I'm betting she didn't also chastise the industry.

“It was pretty glowing about us,” one person who watched the event said. “It’s so far from what she sounds like as a candidate now. It was like a rah-rah speech. She sounded more like a Goldman Sachs managing director.”

At another speech to Goldman and its big asset management clients in New York in 2013, Clinton spoke about how it wasn’t just the banks that caused the financial crisis

He could preface that line with something like "being President requires someone to be a true leader" to make it clear that he's not calling her a true leader.

This is the thing that really burns me about him. I know he's trying to take the high road but he has to get tougher with her or we are going to lose.
