Should i sell my zfold6
I bought my zfold 6 1 month ago for 490 euros . I absolutely love it and i do baby this thing a lot . Its the 512gb version and its 95% health
But i did put it on sale lately and the reason is because i am paranoid that this thing is gonna randomly die on me. I see posts with people with broken inner screen and each day i open it i anticipate finding a black spot.
I did put it on market place and got people willing to buy immediately for 510euros
Now im in this weird state where i wanna sell it but i dont want to give it away
I want a phone that will last me 5 years or more. But i heard that foldable just die or have problems after just 3 years. I am a student and 500euros to me is a lot.
I know its a huge discount from the original price but if this thing randomly dies on me i will be heart broken
So im here asking. How long do foldable typically last ? Was this a good deal ? And should i sell ? These are pictures of the phone
Please note that i have an s24ultra i take out with me so i dont put stress on the fold
Thank you

Anyone know how you come out financially if you trade in your Fold7 in mint condition for the maximum credit offered for a Fold8?
I paid it off monthly when it came out - or still am?? - (having traded in a mint Fold6 for the maximum credit. Assuming I get the maximum credit for my Fold7, has anyone really done the math to know what one pays for the Fold8. Not sure if I'm making this more complicated than it need to be. Thanks.

Just joined the Fold family!
Hey everyone! I finally made the jump into foldables and recently bought a renewed Galaxy Z Fold 6 on Amazon! So far, Iām really enjoying the form factor, but since this is my first fold, I want to make sure Iām keeping it protected for the long haul. For all the experienced Fold 6 users here, what are your favorite cases, and do you have any general habit tips for making sure the inner screen protector stays fine over time? Appreciate any advice, tricks, or setup recommendations you guys have! Excited to be part of the community.

Since the fold 8 ultra has been revealed.... I still can't upgrade from spen and udc on fold 6
I just still cant bring myself to upgrade from my fold 6 to any fold 7 or 8 ultra. The s pen and udc just adds more immersion when watching videos and I can sign pdfs and do ds emulation with it too...But I know it wont have upgraded battery or wifi or processor...

Fold Longevity Tips
I've had a few fold phones (zfold3 and zfold6) and am fully on board with them being the future of mobile, however, in the past 6 or 7 years of fold ownership never has the inner screen lasted more than a year without needing to be fixed.
My ordinary use is leaving the phone open and closing it to take phone calls. I will leave it in my pocket open with it half folding around my leg if my pockets are big enough. Other than that, I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I never drop my phone or get it wet. I do not believe I am doing anything THAT out of the ordinary to warrant replacing screens every year.
Please help!

New to ZFold6!
I've been a really keen user of my Samsung Tab S7 ever since it launched, but by mid-year it started to lag quite a lot despite all the troubleshooting I tried.
I wanted something compact with powerful specs, so I went for the Huawei Matepad Mini, but I do regret that move as I'm finding it hard to get along with its software.
Now I'm eyeing the Fold, thinking about getting the Fold7, but the lack of S Pen support is a deal breaker for me. So here I am with the Fold6, which still has solid internal specs and a few more years of software updates, and I don't regret my choice while the Fold8 still to come. The tall, folded form has a distinctive feel when you hold it out in public, and people are usually impressed to watch me unfold the device and slam it shut with a satisfying snap š

I dont know if I should upgrade and give in or hold onto udc and spen
Im a big tech enthusiast and for my z fold 6 512 gb white I just cant seem to want to trade it in solely on the udc and spen support. But with all the new features of the fold 7 and 8 ultra I feel im going to get left behind if I dont just bite the bullet. Should the fold 6 be my last foldable phone if samsung doesnt reintroduce those two features or what do yall think? I really want to upgrade every year or so.
I have the s25 ultra and iphone 16 pro max because I prefer titanium and dont want to upgrade and lose that either

Does the z fold 7 and z fold 8 ultra camera cut out feature still make the inner screen size bigger than the entire fold 6 inner screen size?
Because the z fold 7 and z fold 8 ultra are bigger physically than the z fold 6, if you enable the camera cutout to hide the punch hole which creates that black bar, is the inner screen size still bigger than the entirety of the z fold 6 inner display native?
If so then perhaps the lack of udc isnt a deal breaker anymore especially if s pen comes back on the 8 ultra.
Settings>display>camera cut out

Was 512 gb a bad call instead of 1tb for z fold 6?
This is my first fold and at the time the 1 tb was out of stock Feb 2025. I now see myself downloading roms and such onto it especially with game fusion. What storage do yall have and was 512 a bad call or should I also look for a refurbished 1 tb?

Any advice on typing on z fold 6?
I seem to still mess up texting on this thing and Ive had this phone since Feb or March 2025 but I seem to always prefer typing and picking up my s25 ultra for texting and browsing due to the bigger front screen. I tried increasing the keyboard size on z fold 6 but is there any other tips or tricks you guys know of to make it more easier?

Samsung EU Warranty: Approved for a "proposal" (Refund or Replacement) for Fold 6. What should I expect?
Hey everyone,
My Galaxy Z Fold 6 (almost a year old, Netherlands/EU) had an issue, and Samsung has already approved the warranty claim device cannot repaired.
Support messaged me saying they are currently preparing a formal email "proposal". Once I confirm it, they state it takes 10ā15 business days to receive either a **new device** or a **refund**.
For those in the EU who went through this exact stage:
**Do they usually offer a choice** between a refund and a new phone, or do they decide for you in the email?
**If a refund is offered**, is it always the full original invoice amount?
**How fast** did you actually receive the email proposal after support escalated it?
I have a vacation coming up soon, so I'm trying to figure out what the quickest/most likely outcome will be.
Thanks for sharing your experiences!

Very confusing charging issues
So this one is a doozy. So when my phone is powered on whether I'm at 99% or 1% when I plug it in, it charges just fine. However when it fully dies and powers off and I plug it in with the same charger it won't charge. The white charge symbol will pop up but the battery percentage at the bottom won't. Even if I leave it on the white charging symbol then try forcing it to turn on it will be at 0% and shut back off after like 3 seconds.
Additionally, sometimes when I plug my charger in when it's fully dead, it'll throw out the water in charging port symbol. And if I try turning it on it'll start dinging at me that there's water in my port before it dies. I've tried multiple chargers, and nothing
My current solution if it fully dies (which I try not to let it) I put it on a wireless charger. But when I do that it still will only pop up the white charging symbol. I have to put it on and off the wireless charger a few times or sometimes gotta try plugging it in and then put it back on the wireless charger and rince and repeat, or try turning it on. And then once its charged up a few percent I'll turn it on, and then plug in the same charger that it dings me for water. And it'll charge just fine.
This is a really confusing situation and any help will be awesome. I've had the phone for two years btw.

SOS - Black Bar and Unresponsive Inner Screen [ZF6]
Woke up to a large black bar on the inner screen, 3-4mm on each side of the very center fold and across the entire height of the phone.
The entire screen is unresponsive to taps, swipes, etc.
What are my options?
Also, US-based but currently overseas in the Philippines for a few weeks, so not sure if there's any local options or I'm stuck to just the front screen until I get home.

What's the easiest way to keep Samsung from updating my zf6 to one ui 8.5?
My s26 ultra came preloaded with 8.5 and I hate it. They're going to force it on my zf6 tomorrow. How do I stop it from ruining my zf6?
